Regarding how we'll pay for it, we are already paying for it. Heavily.
As much as we like debate on whether it's a right or not to have healthcare, it is a fundamental necessity. There is no escaping the cost.

- // Right, no one really needs doctors or medical care. It's a luxury to take care of oneself and be healthy.IRNlun6
- On second thought, you know it is a luxury and it is already law that you can't turn people down when visiting the ER.IRNlun6

- we all need food and water - we all need a home too... We should DEMAND the govt. give us that as well...identity
- You're missing my point. Private or public, you're still paying for everyones care.IRNlun6
- I want the best and most cost effective health care options. Private system is failing at that now. Doesn't mean I want the government to run it now...IRNlun6
- ... government to run it.IRNlun6

- They come here for SPECIALIZED people - because the freemarket ALLOWS specialization to existidentity

The Bush regime went line by line through the NAzi game plan, its not like Obama is trying to do anything about the NewUsa, his job is to gloss over it. The Nazi's are just hanging out in the WhiteHouse rec room

I think they should do a nationalized healthcare for everyone under 18. It's a pretty small % of medical outlay costs as a population, but offers the best bang for the buck longterm by creating healthier adults. It kills alot of stress parents have if they lose or can't get private insurance. It's a win-win for politicians because who would vote agains healthcare for sick children (wait..don't answer that..)
And if it's viable, we could look to expand to other demographics..it provides a model of a state run system
- I pay for thatMrDinky
- I can dig this alternative...identity
