    • But if you're already good at making stews and soups in a dutch oven, then you probably don't NEED a slow cooker.monospaced

    Paging mugwart!!

Hey bud do you have any idea who is working on the VFX for this? I just pray the team is top notch, I don't want anyone to fuck this up for me. :-/

    • Hey! I'm not on this. Looks like MPC, AKA the slave drivers, are doing this. They do great stuff normally so yeah i might be good ;-)mugwart

My 15 year old daughter is currently taking DRAMA and MUSICAL THEATER in 10th grade.
She's been telling me how most of the kids in these classes say they have not yet figured out their sexual preference or even gender identity. She says the subject is constantly thrown around in conversation, to the point she feels a bit like an outsider for just liking boys. I think this is complete bullshit. I'm sorry but I am not just being "traditional" here what the fuck man, what's wrong with parents today?? Do you care that your child only has a constant diet of Hollywood, Social Media and Tumblr?

At what point does tolerance, bigotry and common sense meet?

    • I know exactly what you're talking about. School for the Arts here is the same. many kids seem to be figuring out what gender they are.Gnash
    • I have a 15 year old daughter too, everything is a drama... and these classes (Arts, Music, Theatre ) encourage difference...dmay
    • yeah its disturbing how the media drums it down kids throats. Corny as it sounds teach your kid to be true to herself, to think and question everything.mugwart

Been wearing a heart monitor since last Friday. The idea is every time you feel a palpitation, you push this button on your monitor and it sends a transmission to where the doc can see it. So I'm pushing the button when my heart freaks out and then the doctor calls me on Monday and says I need to see you asap. Your heart has been racing up to 190 bpm! This freaks me the fuck out, since I was in California on a work trip. I went to go see him today finally and he prescribed a beta blocker/blood pressure med. I've been feeling totally fine since Sunday and haven't pressed the monitor once. Doc says if this pill is ineffective, they'll have to do an ablation where they go in through the groin (!) and shock the heart.

Hardest part is no caffeine. That's just inhumane,

    • are they panic attacks?
How long do you have to be on the blockers? did you journal when your heart began racing, what were u doing in those moments?

Character assasinations will always be a characteristic of politics. There will always be people who lie, and deceive for political ends, and for better or worse, will succeed. There will always be conspiracy theories, at times conspiracy reality, and hate, and fear, and ignorance, and vengeance, and all other putrefactions. The grade in which putrefaction is measured is dependent on the ambient medium. There is nothing more hospitable for those who the means of communication is a right, which is now everywhere and multiplies.

London and U.K. peeps, I have a question for you.

I wanted to know are there really "no-go" zones in your countries? We hear about neighborhoods that are a majority Muslim and have seen videos of Muslims marching down the streets with signs and arguing with Brits about Sharia law.

Is this exaggerated? Is it totally true? Can anyone give me first hand experiences in this matter?

As far as I know there is not one place in the U.S. that would be considered a no-go zone due to Muslims. Maybe gangs but not religion.

Thanks in advance, I just would like to be educated by those on the ground.

To your response, growing up years before "Political correction" I'd say yes and same time no.

My area was a strange one. One part very poor; Muslims and 'foriengers' (as my racist father would call it), rich 'jewish' areas with strange houses and normal 'Christian' suburbs for 'normal' people. the '' is my failed parental teachings.

The school fights were bloody and violent and the medics were often called out. In a way it was good as people were learning that they just hated and were looking for excuses to beat the living shit out of someone.

There were parts of the place you didnt go - I guess a 'no-go' as you put above. Pubs were very risky and in clubs which were a giant sleaze fest - I would be know to just be dancing over blood.

Now there is a lid and a word on things and I only see people subressed not to talk about it nor admit there is a problem.

Personally I think this is the power of the BritExit and Trump movements as suddenly bigets have a 'say/'vote'.

I digress, moving on to your question ... to be honest yes but on a smaller scales.
Not because the world is better but as people are too fucking poor to living in London and are having to move out.

    • forgive the dyslexics errors, struggling this moment.
as to strange houses - my father was a chartered surveyor so I would get low downs on house in the car!
