    lol,
"... It's if someone said to you in traffic "you are a shitty driver" and you reply with "well, I bet your lasagna tastes horrible!" ..."

    • You're nothing if not consistent. 99/100 of your posts result in my reaction being... wtf is he on about now?set
    • thank you set :)GeorgesII
    • You may as well have just written this on a post-it note on your desk. No context whatsoever, haha....set

Just awake (almost 7pm here) after going to bed at noon - pulled an unexpected 30-hour grind helping a friend with their architecture diploma presentation. Over the past four days or so there have been six full images, plans, drawings, and layout work. I feel like Billy Idol himself has pummeled me with his platinum discs; Henry Rollins©.

Now I shall have pizza and crisps and fizzy juice and sweeties and play video games.

The color black ABSORBS light and heat. Wouldn't that speed up the evaporation process?

    • I thought the same thing. I'm sure they thought of that -- likely just acts as a barrier / membraneGnash
    • ok heres your 1,000,000,000,000,00... balls, you wanted black right?moldero
    • More to do with the material and heat transfer - it will act as an insulator and keep the heat out and the cold things cold: t.ex water.face_melter
    • The balls will have more surface area than the flat water, so can absorb/disperse more heat.face_melter
    • ^ lol, moldero - probably exactly what happened :)Gnash
    • I think still less black balls than Kim K.'s chin has seen.ETM

CUNT taxi driver tried to kill me today!

5-lane roundabout in central London, and he tries to undertake me as our lanes are merging into a corner (I was in the sencond-from-left lane to avoid any merging issues). I yell, he backs off but just starts hurling abuse.

He overtakes, drives on but gets stuck in traffic

I come up on the driver's side and hock a fat, snotty loogie into his window as I fly past.

Lesson of the day: Don't be a cunt

    haha fuck he went nuts!!!

I think in the future, we'll all have official web id's and our web experience will be more catered to each of the different personas. Maybe even have multiple designs to websites based on the different users for better persuasion.

    • Grim future.yurimon

Following the stay-awake idiocy from the other day, I shall do it all over again today with the Stockholm Photo Marathon - 24 pictures taken over 24 hours. Took part last year (the first since the late 90's if I recall correctly) and it was pretty cool to see parts of the city you would never see at certain parts of the day. Absolutely fucking knackering, but highly enjoyable nonetheless.

I don't know why, but lately, I feel very guilty about how much trash I have and still generate, all the gas I use, plastic bottles, plastic and paper packaging that comes with everything I buy.

I feel so wasteful and I can just put all that stuff out on the street and have no idea really where it goes. There's too many people and we've made such a mess of this earth.

    • i hear ya. I was able to cut down by not buying processed food from the super market, takeout, stopped buying water. taking a bag to the farmers market.yurimon
    • not easy but you can get it down quiet a bit. even dont really buy much stuff. what does one really need? paper is better. though its not worth recycling.yurimon
    • kinda skeptical on the paper manufacturing though. ive driven by a paper plant, it smells not kewl.yurimon
    • Kewlpango
    • why not recycle?iCanHazQBN
    • You can't recycle everything.freedom
    • Your understanding of a paper plant is the smell you got driving by one once? That's like a metaphor for everything you spout your shit about isn't it?monospaced
    • Kidney punchgilgamush
    • it has a strong chemical smell, im guessing it was just you taking a dump mono?yurimon
    • so i'm guess it enviro friendly then.yurimon
    • That's a yes I guess.monospaced
    • freedom, you can recycle metal, paper, food (as compost), and plastics. That's like 99% of what we throw away.iCanHazQBN
    • You're so funny. Instead of complaining why don't you do something about it?Hayoth
    • Recycling plastic just slows down it's eventual journey to the ocean.nb
    • Use glass, metal, paper, and recycle ALL of it. One of the best things you can do is try to avoid all plastic. It's tough, but doable.nb
    • Also, the best thing you can do is push your city/state/etc to put recycling programs in that don't require individual sorting or recycling.nb
    • You can't convince everyone to change their behaviour for the good of the planet, but you can convince elected officials to do something about it!nb

Is having children selfish? There are 8 billion people in the world, do we really need to keep making so many new ones? The world doesn't need more baristas and artists and office workers.

    • where do all your ideas come from?yurimon
    • Yuri, you say over-population isn't an issue. Where do you draw the line? What if there were 60 billion people on Earth? Would that not cause problems?iCanHazQBN
    • You make it sounds like population can never be a problem. But it grows exponentially, so ultra high figures are possible, unless we address it now.iCanHazQBN
    • From the dawn of humanity to the year 1900 we reached 1.9B people. And in just 115 years, we went from 1.9B people to 7B people.iCanHazQBN
    • yeah we don't need more artists and barristas, we need more religious fundamentalists and stupid people which are the only ones reproducing_niko
    • Exponential growth is why it's dangerous. And it's not about physical space for humans, it's about being able to use the Earth's resources (food growth, water)iCanHazQBN
    • wisely to avoid a complete breakdown of the human race.iCanHazQBN
    • And not to mention all of the pollution billions of more people can create. Look at all the waste that's being created with just us. Imagine 3x the worlds pop.iCanHazQBN
    • Ask this to Africansi_was
    • Most of the waste comes from industrial output and large scale operations. they could easily dev methods. plus research is 100 years ahead with what the publicyurimon

    • Yurimon has a point. The problem isn't really over population. The problem is the system. The waste. The pollution. The fact that we pack in to cities and...set
    • Without giving back. I imagine if everyone had a garden, only ate local produce, did away with plastics and spread out a bit, we could double the populationset
