I don't know why, but lately, I feel very guilty about how much trash I have and still generate, all the gas I use, plastic bottles, plastic and paper packaging that comes with everything I buy.

I feel so wasteful and I can just put all that stuff out on the street and have no idea really where it goes. There's too many people and we've made such a mess of this earth.

    • i hear ya. I was able to cut down by not buying processed food from the super market, takeout, stopped buying water. taking a bag to the farmers market.yurimon
    • not easy but you can get it down quiet a bit. even dont really buy much stuff. what does one really need? paper is better. though its not worth recycling.yurimon
    • kinda skeptical on the paper manufacturing though. ive driven by a paper plant, it smells not kewl.yurimon

    • why not recycle?iCanHazQBN
    • You can't recycle everything.freedom
    • Your understanding of a paper plant is the smell you got driving by one once? That's like a metaphor for everything you spout your shit about isn't it?monospaced
    • Kidney punchgilgamush
    • it has a strong chemical smell, im guessing it was just you taking a dump mono?yurimon
    • so i'm guess it enviro friendly then.yurimon
    • That's a yes I guess.monospaced
    • freedom, you can recycle metal, paper, food (as compost), and plastics. That's like 99% of what we throw away.iCanHazQBN
    • You're so funny. Instead of complaining why don't you do something about it?Hayoth
    • Recycling plastic just slows down it's eventual journey to the ocean.nb
    • Use glass, metal, paper, and recycle ALL of it. One of the best things you can do is try to avoid all plastic. It's tough, but doable.nb
    • Also, the best thing you can do is push your city/state/etc to put recycling programs in that don't require individual sorting or recycling.nb
    • You can't convince everyone to change their behaviour for the good of the planet, but you can convince elected officials to do something about it!nb
