today we had a super rain storm. the river over flowed and the city became 5-7 feet under water. my hotel lobby was 5.5 feet deep of muddy water. we had no electricity for 17 hours and barely any food. the lights just came on a few minutes ago.
I'll post pics soon n hopefully some video.

it was insane.. when the power went out there was chaos!!e-pill - worst part is i met a cutie last week and wanted to take her out to dinner at the hotel n stuffe-pill
- now the hotel is fucked!!
there goes my date!!!e-pill - the hotel does have a boat, its like the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Disneylande-pill
- maybe they can give us a tour of the muddy water surrounding the hotel so i can make oute-pill

- that bag better be bitchin' gooddrgs
- "that bag" haha.. i developed 250 backpacks in the last 4 weeks.. oie-pill
- close to 1/2 of them are opening price point but the id say 45 of them are dopeness!!e-pill
- 1 bag per hour in 12 hour shifts, e-pill, please tell me you are designing, not sewing these bagsdrgs
- sound like a sweat shop...pango
- yes, i design/ spec, the factory develops the samples. we have our own sample room.e-pill
- its not a sweatshop, the factory workers actually get a lot of breaks and long ones at that.e-pill
- they start 8am -9pm. from 11:30am-2pm is their lunch from 5:30pm-7pm is their dinnere-pill
- the sample room will develop anything i can think of.. it usually takes 2 days to make-e-pill
- -one sample complete. sometimes it takes 3 days per backpack.e-pill
- my sample room has 12 pattern makers, 15 cutters, and 50 developers.. so we can make-e-pill
- on average with no changes opening price and 2nd price point we can make 10 in 3 dayse-pill
- if the bags are mid level to upper price, it will take longer, on average 5 bags in 3 dayse-pill
- i average from concept to final spec 2 per day with each spec having 10-15 pages of info.e-pill
- this includes, colour blocking, choosing fabric, creating hardware, orthogonal views,e-pill
- detail pages, interior pages, breakdown of construction and paper pattern on 1-1 scale.e-pill

These moved in last night. I was too excited to rearrange before I set them up once I got home, but it's not like anyone uses that bed anyway. I had to steal the MIDI cable from the microKorg but after I got everything plugged in, it was recording on all channels with great velocity sensitivity.

I had some spare time tonight. I now know all of the countries in North America (including all the islands), South America, and Europe by heart.
Tomorrow Asia, Africa, and Oceania.
Then I will invade one of these countries. Maybe France. They have good cheese.

other than money and time lines as a motivator how do you remain focused? being on the qoob doesn't help i suppose.- coffee shops work for metymeframe
- ever since I quit smoking 6 days ago I have the attention span of a god damn gnat.moldero
- yeah my adult add or whatever the hell it is, is killing it for me. i get side tracked like crazy.sea_sea
- ok i'll be back in 5 mins. lolsea_sea
- lolmoldero
- i use "gotuKola" its an herb you can get at GNC, its like 20 buxmoldero
- increases my focus big time, but you have to drink a lot of water with itmoldero
- is it like a caffeine drink? cause those mess with my nerves. i'll look into it thanks.sea_sea
- i started a daily drawing blog when i was still working from home. i still do it every day, even from the office. 1st thing to wake my brain up and get me going. routine helpsbjladams
- to wake my brain up and get me going. routine helps, set's you in motion.bjladams
- yeah, that's a good idea, i do need to figure out a routine for myself, one i can stick with. i guess it's just getting myself into it, that seems to be the problem. thanks guys.sea_sea
- into it, that seems to be the problem. coffee helps, in small doses. cause i went into a caffeine overload and that didn't help at all either. fak.sea_sea
- sure as hell didn't help. my nervous system started acting up. not fun.sea_sea
- thanks guys. :)sea_sea
- just got back from a run to help my focus, always works. nah GotuKola is an herb, like ginkomoldero

- a good fish oil tab can help toomoldero
- I've been working from home for nearly 8 years now and I still haven't figured out how to 'not' get distracted...PonyBoy
- although... when I work at night... there aren't really that many distractions... it's just the daytime I battlePonyBoy
- I mean... there's always a floor to sweep... something to scrub... organizing to be done... always an excuse to not workPonyBoy
- ... golf to be played... mountains to go hike... bikes to go ride... dogs to walk.. yeah - working from home can be unproductivePonyBoy
- ... and yet so very productivePonyBoy
- haha i here ya pb, and you're right it's the day time that i struggle with. except i hate the idea of always working at nights.sea_sea
- night. so hence my problem. the damn ice cream truck goes by, the neighbor trimming the trees, etc etcsea_sea
- and it all seams to happen right as i start getting into the flow. someone calls or simply i get caught up on the web.sea_sea
- thanks for the tips though. moldy i was looking at that herb and i think i'm gonna look into it. i like that i read it actually helps with anxiety. i've been struggling with that since my break up and the worst part is i'm a total caffeine junkie. so i've had to cut down on the coffee. i'm drinking mate and that seems to give me that little extra kick i need, without fucking with me as bad.sea_sea

I learned all the African countries today. There are 54. I was surprised. I have just Asia and Oceania left, and then I can say I can name all the countries in the world!
What a waste of time.

- well. One theory is many times in the history the peasants had to face drought and lack of food to eat. so eventually they found ways to eat almost anything that people in the more prosper regions wouldn't. To them it's no less moral than eating a chicken.pango
