Tattoo type help Jan 6, 11, 10:22 p.m.

Hey guys,
I'm getting a tattoo this weekend, got the quote and font I like, but I wanted people here to look at it for leading and kerning. Being an interaction designer, I don't deal a lot in type (or haven't for about 10 years), so I wanted to ask people here for any things they might change with spacing. Already did some stuff... but anything else?

Help! stuck in Madrid! May 9, 10, 4:34 p.m.

Hey guys,

The ash cloud has stranded myself, my wife, and now a new friend who is on this crappy journey with us in the Madrid airport. We're trying to get to Lisbon. They don't know when they can rebook us to fly. I'm looking into the train, but can't take it until tomorrow night at best... assuming there is still tickets. Renting a car looks like it's about 400 bucks and we need to return it to Madrid which isn't an option.

Basically we're a bit screwed right now. Anyone got ideas? Anyone in Madrid want to drive us to Lisbon? We'll pay :D

taxes in Amsterdam (from US) Jan 19, 11, 10 a.m.

I used the filter, but none of the topics really covered this. I'm in the US and thinking of moving to Amsterdam for work...well, more than thinking, I have a place to go, so I'm ready to go.

My issue is I can't figure out taxes. Do I end up paying US and Dutch taxes? I can't imagine as you'd end up paying 80% to taxes and couldn't live. I've read a bunch online, but I can't seem to get a good handle on it.

Has anyone in the US done this? What exactly happens and who do you end up paying?

So I got a new ipod and I went to copy my library over to the the new one. 14 songs I bought on iTunes won't upload because "they are not authorized to play on this computer" ...despite that I bought them on this computer.

Any idea why this is happening? Another Apple miracle. Way to ruin a first experience Jobs.
