    I'm from Delaware.

Where Biden is from, its a super Opioid crisis (hence Hunter)... this is the biggest joke, and I know first hand because I know the people from Claymont. They (the residents) put up flyers to "warn" about the local heroin dealer. Which is hilarious and sad at the same time. Its only there because his supply is tainted lol... They make it seem like Hunter had to do some digging in the 'hood' to get his crack, nope - its right at home for him... heck, maybe he's got something to do w the supply-chain gettin millions and all

*please read the caption, it shows the intellect of the people there, decent hand-writing but the mentality... hmmmmm

    • A bigger question...where is the President's son Donald Jr. buying his drugs from?utopian
    • riiiiiighhttt... because if that was his laptop you'd all be losing your marbles lol is this what you call deflection? also go in his thread w that lolson_dey

Oops, guess this was better posted here.

This may have been posted years ago, but it's really great, and one the things that led me to believe he was the right choice for the Dems. And I say that as someone who wanted Warren, then Harris.

Vice President Biden Discusses Grief at TAPS

Vice President Joe Biden talks with surviving families of our fallen military heroes at the opening session of the 18th Annual TAPS National Military Survivor Seminar, held over Memorial Day Weekend in 2012.

Today in Warm Springs, Biden spoke about the “charlatans, the conman, the phony populist who likes to play on our fears, appeal to our worst appetites, to pick at the oldest scabs we have for their own political gain.”

    • Most republicans in Congress are now distancing themselves from Trump because he’s going to lose. They have no principles at all. Sold their souls long agonb

I am so over these people on my side (leaning left) who think they’re being smart when they wont vote for Biden because he’s not far enough left. Or not the candidate they wanted. Or isn’t whatever enough. They think they’re helping. They think they’re being intellectual. They think they’re taking a stand.

    But here’s the truth:

No one in America has ever — EVER — voted for their perfect candidate.

Every vote is a compromise. Even the candidates spouse probably disagrees on a few things! Hell, even Biden himself probably doesn’t like A few of his own policies!

You’re not special. Stop pretending you’re in some kind of special category of voter who uniquely knows that Biden isn’t perfect. We all know. We’ve all known it about every candidate we have ever voted for.

    • +10000 nb. I still haven't heard any rational argument for why keeping Trump in power is somehow good for the leftyuekit
    • On one hand I think it's a good thing that people in USA especially young people are finally open to new ideas. But some people have gone so far out on a limbyuekit
    • and so dogmatic in their views that it effectively renders them useless in ever changing things. If you are a "socialist" but the only form this takes isyuekit
    • self-identifying as one on social media, then you are really just a cog in a consumerist society.yuekit

    • ...and a shame you dont have that option due to your broken 2 party system.islandbridge
    • Yes the two party system is terrible and very difficult to break free from, sadly.nb
  • dkoblesky0

There are two ends of the spectrum
(other that hardcore Trumpists, who are simply cult members. They don't think)

    Ben Shapiro:
"....whatever damage he was going to do, has already been done...."

This is his rationale. He is so afraid of Liberals being in power that he justifies voting for Trump anyway...by minimizing his erratic behavior. There are a lot of people who follow him. I battle them every day on Twitter.

    Hard Left:
"Imagine thinking Hillary and Biden aren’t evil"

This is from a twitter thread I was on. A bunch of people saying how Biden is 'evil'. To them, the Democratic institutions of the US should just be burned to the ground because they are 'evil'

These people are mostly so far left that they cannot be reasoned with - but many of them still see that Trump is not a good thing, worse than Biden

I just hope enough of these people on both ends can see what a threat Trump is and help vote Trump out

    • Most people who think Biden is evil don't want to burn democratic institutions. They think burning down capitalism specifically would give us a better democracyCyBrainX
    • How they gonna burn down capitalism? By posting on Twitter with hammer and sickle emojis?yuekit
    • I can't help feeling a lot of this is coming from a very privileged perspective. Wanting to position themselves as outside of the system, but also beingyuekit
    • comfortable enough in their own lives that they won't personally experience the downside of keeping a right-wing government in power.yuekit

Glenn Greenwald (of Snowden leak, and Brazil Archive fame), leaves The Intercept over censorship of his article critical of Biden and the media's soft touch on corruption allegations.

    He's unpublished the article here:
    https://greenwald.substack.com/p…

and some of the back and forth with editors here:
    https://greenwald.substack.com/p…

a choice quote from that email exchange
"...the glaring irony that I'm being censored for the first time in my career -- and that it's being done by the news outlet that I created with the specific and explicit purpose of ensuring that journalists are never censored by their editors -- is disturbing to me in the extreme."

    • I was a big fan of Glenn Greenwald in the past but honestly I think he's lost the plot. While there may be some legitimate criticism of the media's handling ofyuekit
    • this story, he's shown himself to be incredibly biased as well.yuekit
    • This responses he got here pretty much sums it up
      https://twitter.com/…
      yuekit
    • I think his bias is clearly against the CIA being so openly connected within the media. That journalism is dead in the MSM, and...monNom
    • that Biden was there while Snowden was persecuted for whistleblowing. Now maybe that favours Trump, but only because Biden is a very shitty candidate.monNom
    • Greenwald is a lefty. But I think most of all he is anti-corruption. (look at his reporting).monNom
    • Yeah I supported his work with Snowden, as well as the Wikileaks releases. All of that was damaging to the Obama/Biden administration but important to publish.yuekit
    • But more recently it really does seem like he has an agenda. He seems to be trying to smear Biden and help Trump get reelected.yuekit
    • I mean Trump is corrupt as hell so why is he not directing some criticism there? Instead he's obsessed with the Hunter Biden story and angry that the mediayuekit
    • is not plastering it across the front page like with Hillary's emails. He also criticizes the media for being "biased" but then goes on Fox News haha cmonyuekit
    • He’s not trying to get trump elected. He’s just trying to tell the truth, which is what journalists do.Gnash
    • If that fucks Biden, then that’s Biden’s fault. It it fucks trump, it’s trumps fault,Gnash
    • People should have access to the info. not have some mooks decide what they feel is best for us to read, or notGnash
    • Being a ‘fan’ of a journalist as long as they say they the things you agree with is easy. No thinking requiredGnash
    • I agree with that, but I also think you can't just ignore what happened in 2016. Someone...most people believe it was the Russian state...hacks the email ofyuekit
    • someone close to Trump's opponent and leaks the info out in a way that creates a stream of negative news stories weeks before the election.yuekit
    • Then in 2020...the same thing happens?? If you're not asking questions about how or why this happened, that seems very strange.yuekit
    • Doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be published. Even Greenwald suggested that intercept publish analysis articles to accompanyGnash
    • If anything, Not publishing the article exposes a biasGnash
    • Publish what though? I think only the New York Post has the supposed Hunter Biden laptop.yuekit
    • This is a very trashy tabloid paper and even their reporters had reservations about going with the story.yuekit
    • Journalists at other papers don't have access to the material, they can't verify if it's real or not.yuekit
    • Um.... Publish the article this post was aboutGnash
    • I don't think the emails he posted support what he's trying to claim, that they refused to publish his article. They were asking him to rewrite someyuekit
    • parts of it that were misleading and add some balance. That's the job of an editor, the writer doesn't have unilateral power to publish whatever they want.yuekit
    • He then cries censorship and quits, which he probably wanted to do anyway. Now he can attack Biden without any fact checking or editorial oversight.yuekit
