With registration opened again (and SMS authentication to limit spammers) it is a good moment to remind everyone that certifying a new member means you are vouching for them, and in most cases that they are someone you invited to the site.
We have in the past suggested and reminded one and all to not certify people immediately upon sign-up if they do not know that person. If new members turn out to be trolls, roustabouts, miscreants, or rabble-rousers, it does not reflect well upon the member who issued the certification.

Unfortunately, I think the well-intentioned SMS authentication is going to deter a lot of new diverse voices and talent, who don't know much about this site, along with aforementioned trolls, roustabouts, miscreants, or rabble-rousers.
And let's not forget the sportos, motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, waistoids, dweebies, and dickheads..
