Coronavirus has Elon Musk acting like just another used car salesman
The Tesla CEO is welcome to argue for reopening America. But he is relying on bad science to make his case
- monospaced2

Elon changed his avitar to Deus Ex, the plot of that game is kinda grim taken in todays context:

He's a douche. Will driving a Tesla now mean you are MAGA and support the reopening? Down with the workers, lets go economy!

Influenza Musk?
Fuck off...surely someone’s having a lend.

As I said before I’m a Musk & Tesla fan but here’s my biggest criticism (should this idea even come to life one day at all)... which is: On one hand he wants the world to get rid of fossil fuels but on the other hand he talked about using SpaceX BFRockets for commercial transportation on earth. Which of course would so not be environmentally friendly.
SpaceX's Falcon Heavy, the world's heaviest operational rocket, burns about 400 metric tons of kerosene and emits more carbon dioxide in a few minutes than an average car would in more than two centuries.
So unless the BFR goes all electric this is a big contradiction on Musk’s part. The other question is will it even be possible at all anyway.
- Another megalomaniac stable genius rock star.utopian
- The concept behind these things is based on EP which is currently used in close orbit navigation. We're decades away from a solution.sted
- He has one more of these videos on Musk Busted on his channel, might as well post that one here as well.webazoot
- https://youtu.be/C4V…inv
- Summed up. There are so few rocket launches that it does not remotly compare to airline/auto industry...inv
- yup inv.
https://www.transpor…fadein11 - ^ haha infographics, how do they work?kingsteven
- Just as well that all the new rockets they're working on are methane-based then, I guess. 'BUSTED'?Nairn
- Just as an aside, Ships belch out profligate amounts of Sulphur and Nitric oxides, but are comparable per passenger mile with flying with Carbon DioxideNairn
- He's a marketeer... but he's got that mushroom glaze-over in his eyesrobotron3k
- NBQ000
Another one
- Again does not understands what it means to meet needs of the current market for profit production, while developing a product for future generations.sted
- Did you even watch the video entirely?NBQ00
- In product development there are breaking points where you have to meet consumer demands, despite of what your or stakeholders long term scopes are.sted
- In these cases the solutions or changes often does not seem rational or executable for the average person until he cannot see with his own eyes.sted
- -cannot +cansted
- NBQ000
Elon roasted
- boring criticism from a person who lives in the past and lacks of understanding how truly life-changing inventions evolve.sted
- these things are viewed by a stakeholder as a consumer demanding an immediate and perfect solution to a problem what she/he haven’t even fully understood.sted
- and therefore it's irrelevant.sted
- I agree and I’m a Musk fan but if you watch entire video there are some valid points.NBQ00

Elon Musk's Billionaire Brother Told His Workers They Were Family. Until COVID-19 Hit.
At Next Door, the community-oriented, “sustainable” restaurant chain owned by billionaire Kimbal Musk, workers were told they were part of a family.
Not a family as wealthy as Musk’s ― the self-proclaimed philanthropist and restaurateur, known for his signature cowboy hat, is the younger brother of multibillionaire Tesla founder Elon Musk. But workers at Next Door did have something called the Family Fund. A pool of money they contributed to out of their paychecks, the fund was supposed to be there for them in times of crisis.
Then a crisis hit. And the Family Fund wasn’t there for them at all.
Next Door and Kimbal Musk touted themselves as all about “empowering the community, taking care of people, wanting to invest in people,” said a former manager, who had been putting $2.50 a check into the fund. “That’s part of the shock. Was this all just a hoax?”

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the ventilators Elon Musk's Tesla factories are making won't be done in time to help during the apex of the coronavirus outbreak

This will probably be the end for Tesla and costly "green" virtue signaling tech. Well if socialism allows it...
- As long as Goldman Sachs is allowed to flourish. Halfwit.BusterBoy
- capitalism wont allow it.neverscared
- People now realise electric is not just the only power source available during zombie apocalypse, it's easily available and limitless.shaft
- Worst case scenario for Tesla is some larger company buys them out, but they're not going to collapse. This has been true for at least two years.shaft
- Hardly. Or as much as any other company. Stop talking nonsense, deathboy.NBQ00
- Tesla made all their patents open source. They won't die if the tech live on elsewhere..SlashPeckham
- You could have just posted this as a side note.ben_
- 2 words, nissan leaf.kingsteven
- Given one of the features of the S and X models is the HEPA air filtration system, I'd suggest Tesla are ahead of a curve most competitors didn't know existedNairn
- How you went from Tesla to all of green-tech...daftboyKhurram
- lol, manufacturing electric vehicles is virtue signaling? Someone go tell Ferrari, Mercedez-Benz, BMW and EVERYONE else that, derpboymonospaced
- its not nonsense if you look at cost. green has a chance in heavy wasted excess of virtue signaling.deathboy
- but when capital is evaporated and less excess price will reign. see how easily banks will loan for 50k cars in high unemployment.deathboy
- even a limit to what the fed can eat up on books to promote confidence.deathboy
- cheap energy is going to be higher in demand to get things going. makes sense to medeathboy

Virus Skeptic Musk Donates Ventilators in What Governor Calls ‘Heroic Effort’
I thought that the stable genius was going to manufacture thousands and thousands of ventilators if needed from one of his manufacturing plants? Elon ended purchasing a 1,000 units from a China company and hopes to acquire an additional 1,255 from another China manufacturer in the coming months.
