Strathmore sketchbooks are my favorite so far. They are cheap so I don't have to be stingy with the paper.
I do love the moleskins but they don't have the same texture and they are too smooth for my taste, at least the one I purchased. I do love the inside pocket, closing strap and overall look.
The ipad pencil and pro for some serious work.

I like a coil bound steno pad. Lays flat, lined for notes in two columns. Can sketch/scan and remove lines via channels in PS. Cheaper than chips-- You can get a 5pack for the price of a bag of chips.
