Yes or No?
If No...which alternative you consider the best?
Remind you, I'm not a photographer, still 500px seems very interesting...
My Flickr account only has pictures of walls I painted.

I have renewed since the UI changed to shit. I'm protesting.
Still use Flickr and iG but not paying for anything.- *Haven'tpango
- hm...I just paid for an extra year. I wonder what's going to happen to Yahoo. The good old days without the need for an Yahoo Email were great.oey
- the thing is, I have a strong community and a lot of contacts that otherwise I'm gonna miss if I quit Flickr.oey
- I'm not quitting yet. Just not paying.pango

I used to use delic.io.us also, until Yahoo bought it.

I dont understand why people pay for Flickr... the only benefit is the desktop uploader, right?

- Unlimited storage. Remind you I have a pre 1TB free accounts and paid 2TB accounts.oey

- No ads. Unlimited storage for $24,99. One can use that storage in case one wants to upload videos.oey
- I ask myself the same question for 2 years now. Just for photos 1TB is more than enough. But I sort don't want to lose my granted benefits :/oey

Yahoo is for Sale. Maybe someone will buy it and fix the piece of shit that Flickr has become.

reminds me of streamnation service...promising big things with unlimited upload of photos and videos-and then it went bye bye with a broken download app and site. fuck dat. i wouldn't give flickr another cent.

I did use Smugmug for a while after ditching Flickr when they went Yahoo login only and fucking up my account.
I found the 500px community to be incredibly toxic - shitball comments for days - when all I wanted was a place to put my photos in an organised fashion without ads.
- Until yesterday I thought SmugMug was like Imgur or Photobucket. But then I looked up for it and read some reviews.oey
- Seems interesting but more professionally minded. Like for small companies or so, no?oey
- I think I will start a basic 500px account just to try it out. Community is too small and nobody I know in the Street Art "World" has an account there.oey
- Before there was DevianArt and Fotolog. But i quit them for several reasons.oey
- Yeah, as you say Smugmug is going for the more professional side. Site builder is lacking but works fine. Also has a Lightroom publish plugin which is very goodface_melter
- In the end I spent the fee on my own Squarespace site/domain - just to have better control over how I wanted my gallery site to look.face_melter

flickr is cool i think. the interface and all is pretty effective to me.
the only downside is how slow the website can be
