I still refuse to pay the Adobe online extortion fee.
- what's the alternative? Should i go back to laying things out in Quark?Ianbolton
- It's a pretty great deal. $600/yr vs. $3k every two years, works for me.formed

"a new era for Flash Professional"
haha, way to come late to the party Adobe - there haven't been any "Flash Professionals" for 2 or 3 years... they've either learnt HTML5 or taken up potato farming
- So weird. Some potato farmer just came up and told me that Flash Professional was the name of the software. :DGucci
- I recently used Flash to make an HTML5 animation. Works a treat!Projectile

It's out, the only real interesting thing is the SnapSVG add-on you can use to animate SVG.

I bet Jobs would turn around in his grave :-)
- Why because it finally uses the medium he had insisted on all along?monospaced
- You have a point there :-)fues
- What blows my mind is that it took Adobe 6 years to address the issue.monospaced
- I remember Grant Skinner at Flash at the Beach introducing the first Easel JS beginnings..fues

It has a lot of nice features for animating but the files it outputs don't play well with Google Display Network so we've never used it for any work.
Just use Google Web Builder as *quite surprisingly* this works well with the Google Display Network.- Works fine. You may want to revisit.fyoucher1
- Yup, and I hope I will never have to use Google Web Designer again.fues
- will revisit!microkorg
- i was surprised to learn some shops use GWBfuturefood

I just downloaded adobe animate yesterday, and it felt good using the flash ui again. Is this software worth using for html5 animations or is it a joke?
- Animate with GSAP is an amazing combo. Animate to layout everything and then GSAP to make them move. Masking is also easy with Animate CC.ok_not_ok
- I love it.fyoucher1
- How do you add the GSAP thingy?Taschen
- You use GSAP for the interactivity part?Taschen
- it's great. gotta look into GSAPfuturefood
