So it looks like suicidal pilots are now much more of a threat than terrorists.

Interesting that they took their site down.
Love their tagline, "surprisingly low-cost flights" >_>

They are saying this video doesnt actually exist, which wouldnt surprise me since it shocked the hell out of me that a cellphone could survive a crash where they havent found one in tact body. Much harder to break a body into pieces than to bust a phone hitting the ground at 500+ mph.
- Bodies hitting a wall at hundreds of miles an hour turn to mush. A phone is light it bounces, cracks and crumbles, it's feasible a memory card could survive.animatedgif
- Apart from anything, the phone itself could act as an absorptive shield for the memory card.detritus
- Stuffed if it's an iPhone or some none card-taking Android piece of shit, like mine.detritus

can't / don't want to imagine the horror. may they rest in peace. :(

depression + losing vision + more depression = crazy act
- I think the distinction between depression and psychosis needs to be stressed - half the world shouldn't drive if depression caused this.fadein11
- depressed people are not murderersfadein11

I wonder how often planes that crash actually use those security measures they run through on every plane before it takes off...with the masks and the life vests etc.
- benfal0
It was a deliberate crash by the co-pilot.
WHAT THE FUCK MAN!

planes are dropping like flies these days.

First link on Google. I don't know how trustworthy this is.ORAZAL - Makes me not want to fly. Couldn't imagine what that would be like when the plane starts going downfyoucher1

Remember MH17 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/…
Not sure why people are so skeptical of phones surviving, they're small robust light chunks of metal/glass. in a crash they'd be flung from the plane from the shockwave alone. If a plane seat (
, flammable etc) can survive a crash it makes perfect sense that a small cage of metal housing memory the size of a thumbnail could make it out. The entire phone doesn't need to be usable only the storage medium.- To be fair MH17 was shot out of the sky, this one flew into a mountain at 400mph. Though it's possible a phone could survive, it's not comparable..set

- http://www.dailymail… Not sure why... if seats can survive why wouldn't a much smaller robust object (memory card) surviveanimatedgif

Pilot used axe to try and get back in
- set0
Sounds to me like he simply became unconscious in the cockpit and the whole thing was bad luck. That would explain the calm breathing and why the pilot couldn't get back in.
As someone else stated, even if he wanted to die his breathing would not have been calm had he been awake, knowing he was about to smash into the side of a mountain at 400m/h.
