Like it so far too, but would we feel the same way if we hadn't seen BB?
Is this really a quality stand alone series so far just on its own merits?
Curious to see what someone who hasn't seen BB feels about this show.
- characters have already been developed... we're just watching a backstory so I'd think the show would work just fine but it would...PonyBoy
- would require a lot more filler to develop each characterPonyBoy
- I thought BB was good but never understood people going crazy over it. I am really liking this and have shown it to my wife who hasn't seen BB. She agrees that's it a quality show. So there's a view from a 'hater' and a newbie.ORAZAL

- good point, ORA... my GF never watched BB and she's really enjoying BCSPonyBoy
- My dad hadn't seen BB and loves Saul, so much that he is now binge watching BB.eighteen

So far, this show feels like an excellent remake of the Rockford Files. And i'm thankful for that.

Didn't the through-and-through on Mike shoulder hit the post behind him. Wouldn't that leave DNA evidence? The show takes place a bit in the past, but not that far. Maybe it'll come up.
- *Mike's shoulderETM
- You might have a point Serpico but we know he'll never get caught cause we've seen the future!!!
HAYZ1LLLA - Was he still an active cop when things went down or retired? His DNA might no have been on file.ETM
- *not on file.
Damn you keyboard!ETM - And this is supposed to be the 90s? DNA didn't come into policing until the late 90'sArmandoEstrada
- Umm... DNA evidence starting showing up in court cases back in 1986. So it's been around a while.ETM
- Also Saul is 2002/2003, isn't it? It's supposed to be 6 year prior to BB.ETM
- Sept 2009 was the date of Walt's 50th bday.ETM
- Good point. There must be blood and a bullet somewhere there.bainbridge

No cliff hanger this week.

So should we assume the idea of leaving those files at his brothers was knowing that his brother couldn't resist and likely will end up doing a lot of the work... or at least the organization for him?
Or is it just for his brother to be nosy about to reinforce the notion he is "fully legit" in the elder law biz.
- the brother will die..
never existed in BB..epill - yes... but not the question I was asking.ETM
- I think he left it there, because he was looking to let his brother he was legit, although didn't know the right form numbersMiguex
- So when he gets that big office the brother doesn't suspect he is doing dirty things, is kinda like his conscience, once he is gone... SAUL WILL BE BORNMiguex
- AWWW SHITMiguex
- But throwing out the wrong form number seemed fully intentional, not a mistake.ETM
- Why doesn't he work with his brother?freedom

Watched the latest episode last night, just didn't understand the motivation for Mike to do that little job, wasn't him being watched by those cops? or like, just being out of some investigation on him? why he would mess with that kind of business?
- he needed to compensate him for his services plus he's already slightly invested in the familyJG_LB
- Invested how?freedom
- Mike needs these little jobs now that he is going to be helping his daughter-in-law.MondoMorphic
- His motivation has always been his granddaughter. And his daughter in law hinted (not very discretely) that he should help them with money.ORAZAL
- He was paid. Plain and simple.ETM

His brother is such a dick
- For real! It's his brother's fault if/when he backslides again...his brother gave him the push.MondoMorphic

Steve Ogg showing up was fantastic, and is it just me who thought 'Price' looked a lot like Lester also?! Then there was the fact there were three of them.
Love the reference. Love the show.
Massively rooting for Jimmy right now.

ended well, but with him being so close to what he worked all season so diligently for, it's slightly odd that would be the moment he chooses to 'break bad' (as it were).
either way, fantastic first season.
- Well he didn't expect his brother to hate him so much and he doesn't have much of a life or office.omahadesigns
- mg330
I thought the ending was a bit of a letdown. It felt like a filler episode to be honest. I've loved the series, but I was surprised at how anti-climactic this felt considering some of the great season finales Gilligan did with BB.
- Agreed.ETM
- Totally agree. No montages!stoplying
- Yea, where was Michael Bay to direct this?omahadesigns

I like the ending, great cinematography there, some of the best acting scenes are in the last episode.
Wonder why smoke on the water song, i know thats the song his partner was humming at the alley before the rolex stunt.
But what does it meeeean?
- He's going back to being Slippin' Jimmy of sorts. Fuck all that laborious legal shit - he just had a great week running scams.Luda
