It ain't broke. Leave it alone with it's quirks.
QBN is a beautiful deaf French girl who I'm fucking. I like her. Let her be.

A big NO to post editing, what you say stays. Think before posting.

Per prophetone: More PSBattles.
My addition: Have them mod directed and run on a schedule. Expect a new one every second Friday or something.

QBN...Just give us (the end-user) the ability to block, hide and or delete threads that we deem inappropriate to be viewed in our browser (at work, around the family, etc...) There is no need to censor QBN user generated threads.

These ideas from organicgrid are very good:
These are very good:
Responsive design
Vimeo embedding
Soundcloud embedding
Fixing the "https://" problem
End-user controls contentBut the editing I don't understand...
Edit what?Thread?
Comments?
Posts?I'm with Ernesto in this.
Even with history...what would that help with? Then the COTD thread...
No to censorship! If people by themselves don't find better things to discuss or watch you can not force them.
It's a shame that there's not so much design discussion but COTD and stuff like that or other discussions were always a part of Newstoday/QBN.As of for new members...yes sort of...
Like age limit or...wait..fuck that!
Fuck new members! Muahahahahaha! Now seriously, yes but how would one do that?
And yes, faxbenson's proposals are great too.

Somehow get more ladies on this site. Make it pink.

for real tho, what I love about QBN is that it is a piece of forgotten internet history, I like it this way... just need some improvements, but the overall thing should be/look/feel the same.

Dedicated porn threads are one thing, but some of you cock shiners post NSFW shit in the gif and pic threads.

I'm with benfal...
You can not complaint about the design discussions if you don't contribute to it yourself.Sometimes people have doubts and ask for stuff and don't receive much feedback.
It happens sometimes.Sometimes I wish I knew more so I could contribute more.
Because I've learned a lot here with fellow QBN'ers and QBN'ettes.I also find it somehow disappointing that there's always room for an extra "pussy" thread or some scandal thread.
"We" are becoming lazy I guess...and maybe some fresh blood would help.
With some enthusiasm and harder erections.
Dunno.
Just know benfal is right.
Masturbate less contribute more. And suddenly there's lot of people popping out to complaint but where are they when there's some discussion, about design or tits or something else?
Fucking voyeur pervs!!!

- Search that works:
"search term" site:qbn.com- More space in those little boxes on the right
I think that's what these bigger boxes are for
- benfal990
When you create a new thread you can tick a NSFW box when the content is NSFW.
In our profiles pref, we can choose to block or not the NSFW content.
That way everyone is happy. If you choose not to see NSFW content in your profile pref. you will never see it.

QBN was always and still is about the people here. Including the COTD thread. It doesn't bother me. By banning new registrations a few years back QBN got rid of enormous quantities of spam and I was happy about that. Introducing MODS is a bit like a gated community, I am really not sure if that's the way to go. Things can be improved here a lot from a technical point of view and that is a lot work, I'm sure about that, but does that justify "monetizing" this place even further, I'm not sure. I don't know what QBN gods are after, but it sure smells like money to me. MODS to me is targeted content by ways of controlling people. That I don't like. I know most of the people here are designers, developers or similar, but we have a life too and this place became "somewhere" we can all vent our problems and frustrations in a funny and carefree way. The introduction of MODS will end that.
I want to talk about design, don't get me wrong, that's why I joined in the first place. What I don't want is control or being monetized. One FB and one G+ are enough.

^ yes and a personal filter, so you could choose to ignore certain threads. so if you're offended by COTD then click ignore and you never see it again. i don't care about all the dumbass threads as i never look at them. it'd be handy not to have to wade thru tons of shite to get at the nuggets i want.
mods should only be able to delete/ban spammers - otherwise just let people post whatever crap they want - it's what makes the place interesting. if you hate something, click 'ignore', never see it again.
- Fax_Benson0
don't think people generally have an issue with COTD, it's easily avoided.
There is a general misogyny that spills over into other threads though. Could do with a bit more diversity here.
- I'm sure COTD makes everyone feel welcome.cannonball1978
- the language / attitude it fosters is a bigger issue, but sarcasm noted.Fax_Benson
