I was converting some flash banners for mobile and I was uberly stunned how good Swiffy has got.
I can see no differences from the flash versions and file sizes are acceptable. It even converts tweenmax animations in AS2 and AS3, random scripts and then some..
https://www.google.com/doublecli…Do you think this will solve the age-old flash-versus-html debacle?
Please discuss.

does it work if your projects loads external swf's? last time i tried it, that wasn't possible.

funnily enough I used to the other day to demo some menus I have to build in HTML but was quicker to use flash in an hour then use that to get demo code.
Not a great thing to use in real world situations - code is massive.
But worked great for my needs.

I just tried a banner that was 42k. It converted perfectly and I couldn't tell the difference at all. Then I tried to play it on my iPhone and it only loaded the first frame. Also, the code was an explosion of unintelligible gobbledegook.

is there any way to interject the code it spits out to work within a squarespace portfolio? I have yet to figure it out. had a bunch of old banners that i wanted to get into my portfolio...but don't think this will work

Nope, Flash still rules. Nothing has come close to the reliability. Plenty of good progress, but things still break, don't load correctly, etc., etc.
Still the only real tool that you can scale easily (large touchscreens). I am still bitter Jobs killed it.

hmm I just tried converting a simple animation. It looks great on my laptop (though I've got some very finely tuned shadow effects that are now messed up)
..but on mobile preview, it just ends after 2 seconds.
