The Trump admin is still bitter because Anthropic refused its LLM's for warfare.
From reddit:
TLDR; Every time Anthropic pulls ahead, the US Government finds a "security" reason to hit it - and OpenAI is the one left standing.
Nov 2025 - OpenAI locks in ~$1.4T in compute promises against ~$13B revenue. Can't afford to lose.
Feb 27, 2026 - Trump orders all federal agencies to drop Anthropic and the Pentagon labels them a "supply chain risk"
Feb 27, 2026 - OpenAI signs its own Pentagon deal the same day, hours later.
May 22, 2026 - OpenAI confidentially files for IPO targeting $1T+ - while valued at $852B and losing roughly $1.22 for every $1 of revenue (~$27B cash burn for 2026).
Mar 24, 2026 - Federal court grants Anthropic an injunction, ruling the designation was punitive retaliation, not a security call.
May 28, 2026 - Anthropic's $65B Series H closes at a $965B valuation, passing OpenAI's $852B. It's now the most valuable AI lab in the world.
Jun 1, 2026 - Anthropic confidentially files for IPO, expected to target $1T+. (OpenAI is racing to list this year too, carrying ~$1.4T in compute commitments against ~$13B in revenue.)
Jun 9, 2026 - Anthropic ships Fable 5 + Mythos 5, the most capable models it's ever released.
Jun 12, 2026 - Commerce Sec Lutnick pulls BOTH for all users citing "national security." Letter gives zero specifics. Anthropic says the flagged "jailbreak" is a capability OpenAI's GPT-5.5 already has - and GPT-5.5 stays up.
Also Lutnick - under a congressional ethics request over his family's AI data-center interests.
Summary: OpenAI has a ~$1.4T hole of promises, racing to a $1T IPO (it's losing money to justify). OpenAI keeps getting 'bailed out' by "security" rulings that land on its only real competitor - the moment that Anthropic pulls ahead. A judge already called February retaliation. This is the same move with a fresh label.

I wonder if the Trump administration would actually pursue a policy where they try to limit the latest models to American citizens. It would probably be too disruptive (and tech industry which has influence with Trump would push back strongly) but I see some Trump supporters already talking about this on social media.
- You know this is the way Trump himself has got to be thinking...why should we give it to the rest of the world?yuekit
- That would certainly guarantee an AI "bubble burst". And his beloved stock market crashing.NBQ00
- including foreign nationals on US soil is the lol - how the fuck would anthropic enforce that. but it would not surprise me if this was all planned.kingsteven
- Theoretically you could have some kind of signup policy similar to crypto sites. But you definitely can't enforce API usage.yuekit
- I feel like this should be above any administration itself.monospaced
- You wonder that he might limit poorer people than he to make money?Nairn
- or they're all in on it, its all for show, plays right in to darios narrative and its beneficial for all (incl musk) to send all 3 IPOs to the literal moonkingsteven
- The billionaires will offer more powerful LLMs to corporations and the ultra rich that all these fools are busy training with their current AI use.garbage

https://news.bloombergtax.com/da…Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei called on governments to tax AI companies to fund a universal basic income and introduce employee retention incentives to account for the potential impact the technology could have on the labor market.
In a five-point blog post covering the potential policy responses to the “AI exponential,” referring to the rapid improvement in the technology’s capabilities, Amodei urged governments to develop regulatory and tax solutions to cushion its disruption.
- Dario talks too much lately. As if only taxing AI firms (who burn through so much $$) will fund UBI for everyone.NBQ00

Trying to replace a wine bottle label in a video with another label, I thought Kling could do it but it only works with characters, it won't let me use a bottle.
any other software or ai models that can do this?
I'm sure I can figure it out in after effects maybe but it's for a client with no budget so I don't want to spend too much or any time on it.
gracias.

lol what:
Midjourney announces the world’s first full-body ultrasound CT scanner
• Goal is to bring affordable full-body imaging to everyone on Earth
• Users are submerged in water during the scan
• Creates detailed 3D body maps in under a minute
• Can map more than 25 organs and anatomical structures in detail
• No radiation is used
• Working with the FDA for approvals on diagnostic use
• Plans to bring the tech to market by the end of 2027
(via @midjourney)
- MRI technicians hate them!_niko
- no radiationdbloc
- Who doesn't love radiation?utopian
- Pile on the snake oil. Also who wants a full body scan? They are localized for a reason. This will be an innacurate scan to separate rich fools from their moneygarbage

- I have an in-law family member who works on AI for cancer detection and.. it works. They're not entirely sure HOW it works (black box, etc), but it does.Nairn
- Last chat I had with him about this sort of thing was about 18 months ago, so I can't imagine what that equates to in cat years (AI years).Nairn
