Not really a WTF, more looking to see what typeface you'd use to mimic Santa's handwriting.

His chauffer elves use this.

I'd say a classic handwriting script. A nice one, done with a feather quill. Like wizard writing.
- Y'know, something you would have seen around the time he was inventedmonospaced

wouldn't go for a script.. http://www.marksimonson.com/font… - good enough for hagrid in the harry potter books. there's also:
http://www.marksimonson.com/font…- you think santa writes like a child too?monospaced
- santa is for children, therefore he should write like a child, yes.kingsteven
- that makes no sense at allmonospaced
- monospaced0
- I don't know how to find fonts like that thoughmonospaced
- you think Santa Clause writes like a master calligrapher?utopian
- this would be illegible to a child. which i'm guessing is the intended audience.kingsteven
- first, if you think that's master calligraphy, you need to have your head checkedmonospaced
- second, he was an artist and toy-maker, and he grew up before typewriters, so calligraphy makes perfect sensemonospaced
- santa does have off 364 days a year to practice his calligraphy skills.utopian
- he learned to write like that, as do all childrenmonospaced
- if your kid can't read simple cursive handwriting, they should have their fucking heads checked toomonospaced
- yeah monospaced, something like that'd be great gonna search for calligraphy type fontsmirrorball

i would go to a local stationery shop and have them write it
- Most shops probably don't have calligraphy artists.CyBrainX
- most do, for wedding invites.doesnotexist

giving me flashbacks of receiving a letter from santa as a kid, in blackletter (my aunt is a calligraphy nut) and doing a comparison with a more scripty letter a kid in my class got...
"...there must be two santas"
- scarabin0
- According to some experts, Santa is an advanced at calligraphy.utopian
- dude Santa is magical, I doubt he even holds the pen, it just floats and writes what he thinks.ZOOP
- I never said expert... you did. I said he probably writes in cursivemonospaced

The simple solution; write Santa a letter and when he replies you'll know how he writes.
