I honestly don't think they'd of finished or played any better, regardless of who was on charge

Although I do believe in a process and long term opportunities, this poor guy was way out of his league. And yes, honestly, it is down to him. Why? Because that same squad won last season! He never had a stable starting XI, he kept experimenting (always wrong) putting Kagawa or Mata as wingers, Januzaj on the right, BUYING FELLAINI!!!! He wanted to do things his way (eventho they never worked) and the few games MU won, were mostly because of the players.
How else can you also explain that Everton is playing much, much better now that he is gone, and are fighting to get into the top 4 and Europe? Everton is ahead of MU!!!
And what truly pissed me off was that he kept blaming the players! He kept dropping that stupid "We're gonna buy new players this summer" bullshit line. He lost the players respect months ago with stupid comments like that. HE WAS THE PROBLEM.

i can't really understand it, some of the first team are all bailing out at the end of the season and have already secured moves away and play every week, yes they are meant to be pro's but i doubt they are overly worried about the result, and DM is supposed to gee them up and get them to play??
this all screams scape goat to me, he has had a year if that and was expected to win everything or nearly everything, yes they've been horrific (which i have very much enjoyed!) but is it all down to him?
they won the league last season with pretty much the same team??
anyways... i don't even know who they'll replace him with, Klopp wants to stay so that wont be happening!

As a Liverpool fan, I'm sorry to see Moyes go.

nothing official yet but lots of newspapers with obituary pieces online. Seems the journalists are in the know - they're all writing in the past tense.

FUCK! Does anyone know where I can watch these games? I used to watch 3-4 games every weekend with Fox Sports, and now I can't even find the 'main ones' on my TV schedule. Is there a channel for Dish Network subscribers?
Thanks for fucking it up NBC!!

For us US fans, it's great to see what NBC Sports is doing with their coverage. It's free, and they offer a ton of games on television and also will stream games online and on other devices. It's great to see!
Now also to see Liverpool win their first in albeit shaky fashion is an improvement from last year's start.
Love seeing the Rooney drama unfold, Bale drama go flat, and Suarez drama fizzle.

my team, my beloved Newcastle, are being driven into the ground by their owner. giving the then not so bad manager alan pardew and 8 year extension to his contract after a great season where they finished 5th are now in such a predicament that i am not sure if we will ever recover. the club barely stayed up as it was last season yet not one new player has been brought in (all be it a decent loaned player) not a penny spent, our owner, Mike Ashley is worth 2.4B and will only buy cheap young internationals with a view to making a hefty profit! good business i hear you say, yes it may be but not to the detriment to the club! it baffles me, saddens me and angers me that this man can sit in his office, watching this club he owns (not supports, as he's a tottenham fan) fall to pieces yet do nothing about it!
rant over
sorry.
p.s... i was under no illusion that we'd get anything out of the game tonight but it's becoming embarrassing to watch..

Still 4-1 ain't a bad start. Ask Arsenal.

Man United looked ordinary at best and Swansea lost interest by half time. Same shit different year. Lets hope Chelsea and Man City can make it a bit more exciting.
