doing a 12 day jaunt across the pond in september w/the girl. flying in and out of amsterdam, with berlin being a priority to visit.
recommended spots to hit in either city welcome, as well as where else to go whilst there (looking to hit maybe frankfurt or anywhere on the eurorail pass?).
into: museums (modern / contemporary art, city/country history), good bars, spots for street photos and general culture, architecture
not so much: clubs / dance spots, shopping / plazas, city tours.
thanks all

berlin is best for partying but there is tons of guides to the art too - google galleries berlin. there is always good stuff. hire bikes in kreuzberg and cycle the city. It's a safe city to cycle.
If you want to save money there is lots of good hostels in Berlin - I stayed here last month http://www.hostelworld.com/hoste… they don't accept groups over 4
If you're looking for culture, romance and all that shit go to Paris.
What I would do is:
1. spend a few days in amsterdam
2. get an early morning train from amsterdam to berlin - it's 7 ish hours but you can enjoy scenery, drink wine, read a book etc.
3. spend a few days in Berlin - party and art
4. get City Night Line train from Berlin to Paris
5. spend a few days in Paris - quaff and art
6. Get a direct train (Thayles) from Paris to Amsterdam (3ish hours)If you do get city night line train from berlin to Paris you will be in mixed cabins (unless you pay for private). It's totally fine unless you are freaked out by strangers. I was on this train again last month, my only recommendations are:
- Keep the middle bunks up until people need to sleep or else it's anti-social
- Bring on food/wine with you as the carriage that sells food isn't always open and finding the guy selling food isn't always easy.

- In Germany yes.teh
- circumcision is not illegal in germany. it is debated though to illegalize circumcision without consentpressplay
- Thats right press . Same thing really, What guy would say yes cut off my most pleasurable part of my bodyteh
- its just a debate, not a law.

Not illegal in Amsterdam, Hirsi Ali tried to ban it but it's 'tolerated' as usual, good luck finding a circumcised dutch guy though
