If you have patented the shoe box, why are you so afraid to post a picture of it?
- qoob0
Actually aren't all patents listed online?

Or how about I do "go writing it on the internet" so when they produce my idea, people know... I really don't give a fuck who I offend. If corporate companies want to play dirty, I can play dirty, if my career is ruined, I don't give a fuck. I've already worked for Nike and Adidas, that was my goal when I moved here, mission accomplished. They both aren't that great to work for once you've been in this world long enough. That's my opinion. You might have another... And trust me, it was my dream, my only dream to work for these companies. I don't really care if I ever work for them again if they treat people that bust their ass for them like shit, day in and day out. A corporation is a corporation, bottom line is business. Smiles, rainbows! Puppy dog tails, cat videos! :)
- You contracted somewhere that let you work on projects for their clients. Don't get ahead of yourself.monospaced

You'll never know my idea til the time is right my friend. ;)

Maybe I'm a week away, maybe I'm a month away from showing this... It's not going to emit a heavenly white glow when opened, it doesn't hold the remains of baby jesus, it's a box, but more importantly it's an idea... And people in the shoe world who constantly battle for "what's next" will invest in such ideas and if you're smart, you command a pretty penny. :)
- and if youre dumb you get your idea stolen and you whine about getting raped on qbn.mantrakid

so they are talking about using it? if you know they are talking about it then let them know that you aren't allowing them to use it and remind them of the NDA. document the communications and just wait, if they use it then consider speaking to a lawyer. it seems a little soon at this point to start talking lawsuits considering they haven't done anything, you can't claim damages as of yet. also suing can run into the tens of thousands of dollars very quickly so you better be sure you have a legit claim for damages and compensation otherwise its just a massive expense.

guess they paid you for you're idea when you were working for them. so I guess they can argue they now own it.

sothere, the first logical person, thanks... that makes sense, I need to prepare for this... good point, however, I didn't come up with the idea while I worked for them, I am freelance contractor and the NDA specifically stated against them using the idea, it's likeliness or threaten the idea in away... yadda yadda.... I am sure they will come up with any possible loophole and I need to be prepared. Trust me, I know when someone likes an idea, this entire team became obsessed. It literally fits the new D ROSE brand perfectly on every level of the creative brief. It's just a box, but it means way more to them. Thanks "sothere", that was the response I was looking for. MEME away.
- Please tell me you wrote the nda yourself.monospaced

But Chris you did say you patented your idea...got a link to the patent? I'm just curious what a shoe box patent looks like.
I did a quick search for your name and there were zero results.

You'll never know! Maybe it's not under "my name", maybe it's under Richard! DICK!
- How can you say it's yours if you claimed it under a fake name?monospaced
- qoob0
Oh I see, so you can just file a patent under a made up name.
That's interesting, I didn't know that. Learning a lot in this legal advice thread :)

WOW how does the US patent office have the worlds SHITTIEST website? You have to run a plugin and update quicktime to view an image? fuck me.

In case this is real, either seek a real lawyer if you have a patent. If not, thats the way the world works. People, companies etc pitch ideas to other companies. They turn them down, then find other people to do it. Just the way capitalism works. It's a tough business kid! ;)
