Wordpress Folders?

I'm awake, but I don't think my brain is yet...
Why can't I figure this out?I made a WP site in a temp folder to try it out, i.e website.com/testfolder/
and now moved it to website.com/(root)
but the menu and wp-admin keep linking to the old directory, i.e when I put website.com/wp-admin, it sends me to website.com/testfolder/wp-admin...
So I can't change the menu links to stop it jumping...
Do I need to re-install WP on the root, then port the theme over? cos that will be annoying, having to sort all the settings and possibly posts again or trying to export/import the database etc...please not that.

Try going to Settings > General and change the site URL

check the database for links to the old directory if you can't login. Usually they are in the wp_options table
