Saw it in IMAX 3D. So awesome, and even my girlfriend loved it and she knows nothing about Star Trek.

I loved the Khan (movie) references. Down to the music that's playing when he's fighting Spock. I explained this to the GF and how it was even referenced in The Cable Guy fight at Medieval Times. Haha. I absolutely loved the part where Spock yells, "Khaaaaaaan!"
- It was badass when spock flipped him over and power slammed him down.CygnusZero4

Out on DVD yet?

i'm not a big fan of the new tricorder or phaser designs though

although the new enterprise looks fantastic
- omg0
if you compare the insides of the enterprise
i'm always confused as to why there are so much more lighting used on the walls here
these lights don't point down like normal lights, they are in your face. imagine working at your computer console and having lightbulbs flashing at your face as you worked...
- can't have lens flare without lights in your face everywheremonospaced
- The bridge looks great. Way better than it used to. Not everything has to make perfect sense.CygnusZero4
- exactly. just look at spock's haircut. illogical.prophetone

cause without 'em it'd be harder to explain all the interior lens flares

I've seen every movie on the first day they came out and kept every ticket stub which I keep in my book about Star Trek that was written by the guy who wrote the Tribbles episode.- there you go:

I saw a headline in a newspaper a week or two ago which said, "Star Trek: Into Dumbness"
Any truth to that?
- If the newspaper was referring to itself, then yes.CyBrainX

How many J.J. Abrams "lens flare" effects were used in the movie?
