Galaxy note is too big
Over all, if you are used to using iOS, Android is such a crap OS.
Had Nexus, always had issues trying to do simple things. Gave up after 4 months.
- ok thanks.teh
- Obviously you haven't used Android 4.0.ETM
- is android 4.0 nice?teh
- Very mature. Much 'smoother' feeling as well on these modern processors.ETM
- @2002 Nexus is a product line... what model and what Android version.ETM
- im thinking about samsung galaxy note or S3.teh
- Note is big. Unless you really use your phone for working a lot, appointments, note taking etc., I'd go S3.ETM
- Shame you had issues with Nexus, I love mine, I find iOS too limitedbooya

The only thing Im not looking forward to is downloading all my applications again that I have for my iphone 3 for the Galaxy.
any work-arounds for that or do i have to purchase the droid versions all over again?
- i have to upgrade also because new aps will not install on iphone 3teh
- Completely different OSs so beyond asking each dev individually then you're out of luckanimatedgif

We just got a nexus 7 in the office to play with. The UX is kind of lacking.
- kinda small also?teh
- So far, I think t's a nice form factor for gaming. Larger than I thought it would be.bulletfactory

I dont think there are major differences between the two major players in the Smartphone OS battle. Lets be honest alot of is down to personal taste and how intuitive it is for you.
For example:
I love android for: Homescreen widgets, free tethering and wi-fi hub, expandable memory, auto-upload of all photos and videos.
I hate it for: Fragmented OS can cause issues when installing apps, not great range of accessories. What I like about Apple: Phones look a bit better, battery seems to hold out longer, my camera quality is still lacking compared to Apple.
What I dont like: Sharing options are limited, not alot of customisation options, tiny screen - iPhone 5 screen was a good move, I consider 3-4S to be small.Again, just my opinions.
But if you're in the Uk here's what I recommend to my mates. Take out a contract with an S3 or maybe Sony, try it out - you have 14days cooling off period on the contract. If you dont like it upgrade to iPhone 5 which is more £££ on contract and they'd be happy to do.
- Sorry I know this is 5 vs 4s thread, just giving my 2 cents.booya

Everything is better. Thinner and lighter and stronger. And 2x faster . And better audio. And iOS6. And PANORAMA. I can't wait to upgrade from my antique, cracked screen 3Gs
