    I dont think there are major differences between the two major players in the Smartphone OS battle. Lets be honest alot of is down to personal taste and how intuitive it is for you.

    For example:
    I love android for: Homescreen widgets, free tethering and wi-fi hub, expandable memory, auto-upload of all photos and videos.
    I hate it for: Fragmented OS can cause issues when installing apps, not great range of accessories.

    What I like about Apple: Phones look a bit better, battery seems to hold out longer, my camera quality is still lacking compared to Apple.
    What I dont like: Sharing options are limited, not alot of customisation options, tiny screen - iPhone 5 screen was a good move, I consider 3-4S to be small.

    Again, just my opinions.

    But if you're in the Uk here's what I recommend to my mates. Take out a contract with an S3 or maybe Sony, try it out - you have 14days cooling off period on the contract. If you dont like it upgrade to iPhone 5 which is more £££ on contract and they'd be happy to do.
