Incredible finish by Cav today. Mayo jaune heading the leadout train. Amazing speed to catch the beakaway riders to perfection on the line.
What a year for British cycling, keep it up lads.

ALLEZ WIGGO!!! He's Up there with the British sporting greats.
First British winner of Le Tour de Fance, for me it's up there with the '66 wold cup, the '03 rugby world cup, Steve Redgraves haul of gold medals etc.
I know that's subjective, but I've been watching this event sinc the mid 80's when my Dad would force feed me the race every evening and this feels like a very special achievement in the context of British sport.

2012 the year where the Brits discovered the Tour de France because Wiggins is maillot jaune and will certainly?
But remember, a race only ends when crossing the finish line.
Hopefully, this craze is only a start and it is rather good that Brits enjoy watching and supporting this race.
Tomorrow Champs Elysées - usually great views of Paris with the aerial cameras.

@laurent
The mainstream British discovery of Le Tour is one of the most important things about Bradley's achievement. Hopefully it will have a trickle down effect in years to come with more and more people using bikes on a more regular basis.
As for the race not being over till the finishing line tomorrow, when was the last time the jersey changed hands on the last stage? I can't remember it happening in my time watching, but you're right, he might drop his champagne glass under his wheel and break his collar bond again!

Hopefully now he gets the credit he deserves, brilliant win, massive for British cycling

Is Wiggins' front chainring on his TT bike normal? It may just be the paint or something, but it looks like its not perfectly circular. Even the chain seems to have a particular rhythm to it that seems like the chainring might have a non-circular shape to it. Or am I just crazy?
- it's not circular. http://www.google.co…CanHasQBN
- Just found something too: http://news.sky.com/…mg33

What a perfect finish and what sight with the yellow jersey on the front of the bunch with 1km to go.
Great stuff from Cav to finish the Job.
They should give Wiggins the honour of lighting the Olympic flame.

Worst sideburns in the history of mankind...

I can't warm up to Wiggins. Something about his face and demeanor turns me off. Like he doesn't even care to be there, or doesn't appreciate it. Maybe I'm wrong.
- It's his sideburns. He's thumbing his nose at aerodynamics, just like Mark Spitz did with that mustache.mg33
- I've always liked his demeanour. One of the UK TV guys put it best - we get enough media trained athletes boring us these days.Wolfboy
- ...boring us these days.
I agree with that, nice to see someone say what they feel.Wolfboy - That is always gonna polarise opinion.Wolfboy

Froome will win a Tour. Voeckler was impressive - he's my favorite active cyclist. Sagan, Cav, and Greipel all got their fair share of stage wins, that was fun to watch.
