@Tofslie might be that it is loading the other pages in the background before letting you swipe? I wasn't a deal breaker in any case, the app is really nice.

Hmm, that is a new one emexbcn. I you sure it is not your phone? We have tested it on hundreds and never heard that problem.

Congrats, the app looks gorgeous and well executed. I have a minor gripe though, swiping across pages in the guides is not really responsive, I have to swipe sometimes a couple or 3 times to get to the next one. I'm on an iPhone 4.

looks nice!

Gratz on the iphone app of the week :)

Categories of course. already have it in the system, just need to make sure we grow this thing the right way and have content first to have categories. It is an interesting model really. Would it be better to search? Maybe its better to have groups of Guides? Lots to think about. Will be fun to keep exploring. Like i said before it is a balance of how much should you do before launch. if you do too much you wasted a bunch of money. So you do what you think is needed, with some wants and then keep working on it after it has a good launch.
launching this stuff is really scary, you really have no clue what will happen. You hope for this, but you never know.

great work, totally understand the excitement of being able to do something like this while working in an advertising concept. I'm jealous! :P

when in the blog the home link on the logo doesn't work.
and its not really a blog - just a page.
but yep like it.

just downloaded it....very nice UI and functionality. Now to to try the egg in a basket recipe that you posted.

Well so far it's really nicely put together, the site is nice and clean and the concept seems solid to me. I reckon it will go gangbusters :)
- Tofslie0
Yup, lots more like that to come. First was to make a solid app and see if it gets used. It's a balance between features vs time. Dont want to do too much and have it tank. Gotta find that good balance of needs and some wants to get it out there to see if it takes off, then keep making it better.
But for a first launch it is pretty nice!

If you add the ability to create groups of curated guides, you may have the next cookbook industry on your hands.
Nice work!

Congrats! Very inspiring and seems to fit a niche that I've not seen an app for before. I've got some ideas floating around that I'd love to just up and take on if I had the time and money and people.
