Good choice. They are light and very comfortable.
Personally I love the Adidas ZX series, specially the 700 series.
Currently I have one pair of New Balance 574, they're awesome as well and a pair of Nike Pegasus, also fine.This are my choices and recommendations for this style of sneakers.
Other styles, other choices.

This is an old old pair of airwalks with the ollie flap.
Don't get these anymore - shame. These were great hard-wearing skate shoes.
