i need a flash style html5 widget created- basically a tshirt creator where people can change the text on a background graphic - the tshirts will be different styles, probably needs image upload too and output for ecommerce.
anyone know such a guru?

that's a tough one, html5 might not do the same job as flash yet, and you have a lot of cross-browsers restrictions.
Javascript might be a good call, but still wont be as good as the Flash, I guess for an ecommerce the best you can do is Flash with a 'simpler js version' fallback to mobile devices.

This is actually easier to do in HTML5 (Or 4 even) than Flash
- depends on your exp., but this kind of stuff has been around many years without Flash.CyBrainX

You can do this in a BBS with ANSI art.

How does a Guru differ in rank from a Designer, Rockstar or Design Rockstar?

HTML5/Cloud/noSQL = all buzzwords....
... and I am NOT free to do this now, I'm booked....
This could be done in Javascript + PHP + jquery + HTML whatever...
Note that anything like this is the TOP of the iceberg... the rest is the process back end, where your server composites images for printing on actual T-shirts, somebody prints them, ships them, etc.
NOTE: This is not as easy as it sounds, we did it in flash for a project a few years ago, beware of dealmaker execs who think it's all about the deal and not about the actual execution....
NOTE that images can be stretched, but your screen resolution will be half or less of the printed resolution of a full-size T-shirt graphic, so be careful here.... and if you're using vectors, you'll have a more complicated back end than if you're just stretching and compositing JPEGS in PHP/imageMagik...

needs positioning and rotation?
- vaxorcist0
detritus is right.... this doesn't have to be that hard:
1. use php/javascript/jquery/etc
2. layout text on top of images
3. make sure the T-shirt printing is just printing the JPEG, not a more complex screenprinting by layer method that requires knockouts for color overlays
4. make sure the account staff doesn't promise all sorts of random stuff regarding logo colors always matching the pantone sample!
5. control the color of the t-shirts you print on, test bleed-through,etc....

mekk - its the latest unfinished html specification standard, in its basic format it provides more semantic markup allowing for documents to be broken down into component parts. im intrested in the javascript html5, canvas & JS stuff which i want used to create something we'd usually put together in flash but dont have the in-house skill. i realise that you can do much of this in any old html and javascript but (sorry for my ignorance) im not aware of rotation and stuff being able to be done without html5/css3)
