Why is there no middle ground?? You either have this beautiful looking mouse from Apple that is annoying as fuck to use, or go with a mouse that looks like you're in the middle of a LAN tournament in South Korea.
- noth wrong with being in the middle of a LAN tournament in South Korea.albums

- this is nice, but it can't replace a mouse I thinkMiguex

the thing with wacom vs mouse is that it takes time to get used to it, either way going from mouse to pen or pen to mouse. i think it's well worth it to get used to the pen.

Thinking about giving one of these a try. My wacom interferes with c4d r11, we'll see if it still does with r14, I assume it will, so I just use a standard optical mouse for now.

If this doesn't work out I'll probably just get one of those mad catz for the adjustable feature.

^ i've got the Logitech M325. solid, simple mouse, and the battery's been going for 3 months straight without needing a recharge.

Wacom since 99 or so.
Nothing like it.
The intuos 5 is pretty great. Flat, compact, cords can be stripped of for when lugging it around.
The touch part I don't care for. Rubbish. But I second that robotic looking mouse on the previous page if you want to go mouse. I use it for that occasional gaming session. No complaints. It's very, very customizable.
The name of it is R.A.T.9.
Oppose to what some comments read on last page it doesn't "come apart" :)
It's just shown there with the adjustable parts taken completely off. And with the spare parts next to it as well. You get a set of weights and finishes with it. All of those making it fit pretty much any hand bar from those with gigantism. For your reference:

i have the Logitech Performance mouse. Had it for a couple years at least. Think its great albeit semi-expensive for a mouse. The way it recharges is genius (it's wireless, and you plug it into your USB to recharge...but you can still use it while it's recharging (the problem with mouse wireless mouse systems). USB connects to the front of the mouse and then connects to your computer).
http://www.logitech.com/mice-poi…Wacom tab's are cool but it'll definitely get used to. I don't think they're too comfortable for using all day though.
- +1 this is the best mouse I've come acrossukit2
- Only problem is they break frequently and/or I lose the USB connectorukit2
- Mine's never broke but ten again I don't travel. Just sits on my desk.fyoucher1

i use the logitech above as well.. i cant use a wacom at all.. it is very uncomfortable for me.. i really like to use a track pad with just my fingers the most.. about 85% of all my mecha work is done using a trackpad and just my fingers.. so much more control than anything out there..

I'm the absolute opposite. Been using wacom for 12 years now and can't even remember how to work a mouse anymore.
B.O.T. why don't you just head into a pc/electric store and find one that fits you instead of taking a heap of different suggestions?
- yeah holding a pen is way more natural then a mouse position.fourth
- every time I have to use a mouse I feel like a fucking cave manfourth
- i feel the opposite of that.. holding a pen is un natural for me.e-pill
- Yeh, but talking about comfortable. With a mouse, you basically just lay your hand on top of it and move your wrist a bit.fyoucher1
- bit. With a pen, you're gripping it with your hand and moving your wrist and arm a lot.fyoucher1
- Gets tiring if you're doing all day all week.fyoucher1
- d00d,
it's not a brush or a led pencil and paper. You don't hover your hand in the air with it.Peter - Yeah, I know. But it ain't like moving a mouse around.fyoucher1
- I have a few friends who have had wrist pain and I loan them my wacom and it all goes awayfourth

@ PeterH
Because This is QBN and I'm curious to know about what other creative professionals are using?!?
- Yeah, but as above comment on comment attests to: what's comfortable to one isn't to another.Peter
- I would have agreed with you if everyone on here was 7 feet tall, but that's not the case now is itmadneo
- You mean physical feats?
Nah. I'd say it's more about your personal preferences.Peter - some likes tits, others likes ass.akrok

I use my Wacom when my carpel tunnel kicks in, thats it though. Im on 3 very large displays so since adjusting the movement sensitivity on a wacom is impossible unless I map it for 1 display only (which defeats the purpose of any attempt at productivity)
I think im gonna get that logitech up top, sick of taking apart my apple mouse monthly just to clean that damn tracking ball out.
