They just opened the first Five Guys (that I know of) in San Diego a few months ago. It's less than 1 mile from my place but I still haven't tried it.
My buddy who spent some time in DC called it "The In-and-Out of the East Coast." I'm intrigued, but apparently not enough to go inside and place an order.

Five Guys is totally overrated. When you are there, what do you see? Look around and you will see lots of people who love eating massive amounts of food....kind of gross, really. The burgers...meh...there are many many better burgers.

Most disgusting burger I've ever had, by far. Flavorless greasy crap, and a hoard of sad burgers in a bag.
Not a fan. I'd much rather have In-n-Out.

not the worst burger ever but def really wet and falls apart if you gonwith all toppings , we had one open up not too long ago lines where long , now its dead

Well, let's think about for a second here, what did you exactly expected to see at a burger joint? Fit ballerinas? Food Critics? Breakdancers? Novelists looking for inspiration? you can disguise the place as much as you want, but in the end, it's still a ground beef patty between to slices of bread. ;)

ok. i'm here now. so far, service has been pretty good. long line, but moved fast. i'm #54. total for cheeseburger, fries, and drink was $11.44

well, here's my official verdict:
tastes like a burger and fries. dont see why people would go out of their way to have it - but at the same time, dont understand why ppl would hate it. tastes like a burger and fries.

Had a 5 guys burger once and it wasnt bad. I think the best burgers though are Good Burger burgers in the city.
