Holy shit. The Bloc got ass-raped.
- ********0
everybody saying Conservative majority, NDP opposition. FUCK. off to the black frog to get drunk.
- Continuity0
Yup. Based on the leading figures, it looks like it's going to be a Con majority. God damn it.
- eieio0
This will be one sour pill if the NDP made all that gain and yet still there was a majority Con government. I currently see them at 137 seats with about 47 to be counted... they need 155
- It's going to be a VERY sour pill for those of us who don't want Harper in a majority. The only hope is for the Cons to get shut out of BC.Continuity
- ... out of BC.Continuity
- Continuity0
According to The Globe, Layton got his seat, but none of the other party leaders are leading in theirs. Wtf?
- aldebaran0
It's not a sour pill for the NDP. This is a huge success. I never imagined seeing them with these numbers.
- If the CBC's figures are correct, as of right now, the NDP stand to win 93 seats. VERY respectable.Continuity
- It is good to see but the combination is hard to swallow. Sort of an anticlimax after all that.eieio
- A minority with a large NDP presence would have been gold.eieio
- Continuity0
Gilles Duceppe is not going to be a happy chappy tonight.
- Continuity0
Harper re-elected in his riding, NDP leading Cons in BC 4 seats to 3, as of right now.
- Tungsten0
holy sheet. Bloc may loose official party status after tonight.
- Continuity0
CBC reports Cons elected or leading in exactly 155 ridings. We're fucked.
- fuuuuuuupango
- Four more years of Stephen Harper. God fucking damn it.Continuity

Honestly, who the hell are all these people voting tory?!
- Most of southern Ont, most of the prairies and BC, and the territories.Continuity
- It's bizarre. I don't think I know a single person who said they were going to vote Con.aldebaran
- there's lots of rednecks out there somewhere.Tungsten
- Well I do know a lot of rednecks, it's probably them.aldebaran
- a lot of liberal Ontario went Conservative i thinkeieio
- Continuity0
Ahahahaha Elizabeth May is leading in her riding!
- ntimm0
I hate this, fuck this. The candidate I vote for never wins.
The whole of Montreal is shining orange, all but my idiot riding.
Next time, i'm taking one for the team, i'm voting conservative.
you can thank me after the next elections, after harper is out.- What's your riding, and who's leading?Continuity
- Papineau > it's poster boy justin trudeau.ntimm

"the bloc will disappear, as they richly deserve" -Conrad Black
- They're bleeding off seats like it's nobody's business. I'm not even sure one of their ilk have been elected.Continuity
- Isn't Conrad still in jail? or did they let his bitch ass out?spot13
- eieio0
Black also seems to think a two party system is a 'huge step forward' ... its a big step backward frankly. Its not what democracy is about, democracy needs real choice and diverse representation especially in Canada. But anyway...
A lot of Atlantic Canada for some reason has gone conservative which was surprising. There are a lot seats in NS but a small population. I thought they'd get more behind the NDP.
- Halifax as usual is totally NDP but its only like two ridings.eieio
- Halifax, Dartmouth and Eastern Shore all went Orange.Continuity
- lots of votes but no seats compared to all rural ridings who have gone Coneieio
