Starting at $499? That's last year's price. They should bump that down by at least half a click.
- it's got a lot more features, so I'd say it's a great price, especially since no competitors can match itmonospaced
- click meaning a joint?74LEO

- would require too much power to handle 4x the pixelsmonospaced

Funny to think if you add a keyboard the price balloons up to $1000.00.

No matter what happens to me, I want this company to keep one promise. The iPad shall never support flash. Ever.

The whole Flash argument is spent. I really wish Adobe would get off their asses and create a Flash standard specifically for mobile devices, a standard that doesn't require hardware video acceleration and such. For Adobe to expect mobile device manufacturers to beef up their machines to address the steep hardware requirements is ridiculous and we've seen the results of that: yes, Android runs Flash, but only a part of it.
Apple's way is this: If we're going to do it, we're going to do it right. Until then, no Flash. Period.
- lol, you obviously never used the latest android tabletsGeorgesII
- lol, I have and trust me, there is a lot that doesn't workmonospaced
- honestly, it all seemed to work great on android. Actually I was expecting it to fail and it didn't...give me a site that runs like shit on droid.dbloc
- like shit on droid..dbloc
- I guess I'm referring more to the games. The sites are one thing, but racing games will be an issue.monospaced
- For Apple to sell something big enough that I could just as easily carry a laptop, and cripple it is lame.CyBrainX

Adobe employee said this last week:
"Hi all,
You can expect the final release for Android to be available mid-year. All Android devices that meet our minimum s/w and h/w requirements will be supported. Unfortunately, I cannot say a lot more publicly about our port to the Android platform at this time.As for WinMo, we have made the tough decision to defer support for that platform until WinMo7. This is due to the fact that WinMo6.5 does not support some of the critical APIs that we need.
As for your other questions:
* Yes, we will support the Motorola Milestone
* No, the HTC Hero will not be supported b/c it does not have the correct Android OS version and it’s chipset is not powerful enough. We require a device with an ARM v7 (Cortex) processor. Examples include the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets and TI OMAP3 series."Best regards,
Antonio- And, most Android phones can only run Flash Lite, which is not the full Flash.monospaced
- Hence the reason why no Flash on iPad.ArmandoEstrada
