Just to stir this thing a bit, I guess Mr. Serious that you are getting this all wrong.
When I catch up with my mates I usually am offensive and rude, because I know we all know there no grief or anything like that. We say mean things and while sometimes we have to apology (if the joke is too gruesome) generally there is no need.
If you can't get it, maybe this is not the right crowd for you.
Perhaps you don't feel confident enough to be abusive or tolerate abuse knowing that are just bloody words. People here -in most cases- are really good and helpful....and twats!
