That thing looks great!
Do you own it? It looks like it might tear or leak easily? But if it doesn't the size and weight are almost perfect.

i don't own it - just came across it on the interwebs today (: it does look a bit flimsy, but i guess that's the compromise.

i should add that my mountainsmith dyno has an internal hdpe sheet, but that doesn't stop me from rolling it into a tube and strapping it tight with its own straps - it fits inside airplane luggage that way. it's probably way bulkier than that patagonia pack above though.

http://www.rei.com/product/75468…I have this one and can thoroughly recommend it. (basically the same as the patagonia pack a few posts above, but not $80. I paid $20 for mine). it does not have a waist strap, but honestly, at this size it doesn't need one. It does benefit from adding a chest strap but you can generally find those for a couple of bucks at you local outdoors store (I got one from MEC up here for $2.50).
It's good for me because it's
- very light (because I am weak).
- right sized for a daypack, not to big and floppy without a bunch of stuff in it.
- two mesh pockets, a lid with pocket, and a big empty whole into which I can put all sorts of whatever I need.
- Nothing else.it was a popular bag, so I suspect they'll be in stock again soon.

which one of these urban daypacks serves well for carrying laptops?

you apple fanboys are just sickening...
this is what I wear
it has all the space I need to carry my 1st G gameboy and 5 games, on the side pockets there's enough space to carry a few NES cartidges, and tie up my guitar hero controller. The wii fit, goes inside with my wii console, so I bring the ultimate party to wherever I go.
