Can any of you New Yorkers recommend a reasonably priced NYC restaurant that will provide a memorable experience for my girlfriends 30th (on Dec 27).

ideally both – we're visiting from UK
over the New Year... maybe great views? unusual cuisine (although no seafood, rare steaks or soft cheese as she is pregnant!) - I thought it would be worth getting some advice from locals..

- River Cafe is top notch. Also a great view of Lower Manhattan from the Brklyn side.Douglas

this is one of my favourite restaurants in all of NYC. it is a small French Restaurant where everything on their menu is amazing.
