My friend runs a exclusive dining club in NYC, and basically you can get 50% off your first dining experience in a list of 100 hand picked restaurants. It's a bit of a short notice but I can send you a invitation but i'm not sure if you're card will arrive before your flight. Otherwise, you can borrow my card but you would have to return it.

thanks for all of the suggestions - we ended up at the View at the marriot and 100 acres - both superb, we also visited Chicago - Wicker park, fantastic trip to a fantastic place. happy new year to all
