Seriously is there anything more fucked up then planting and growing a tree for years to cut it down for about 20 days to stick 2x wrapped items under it. Maybe its because it doesnt compare to clear cutting efforts. But somewhere the tradition vs population makes you have to look at diminishing returns and good memories vs harm..... stupid xmas

this thread makes me wanna go put my tree up. and NO, i would never use a cut tree in my home.
for the record... it's a 4ft redwood, it looks real and is pretty cool because it has a real wood center trunk. :) love it.
- My wife has one too, it's rad. But here's the thing, it's still a dead tree. I lol every year.prophet

a local newspaper was talking about how to cut them down and about the cities xmas tree might be crooked. the fact it was news and also self help type tutorial is the context of the pine needle breaking the lumberjacks back

Seriously is there anything more fucked up then wasting electricity for 365 days a year bitching on qbn to give/recieve 2x advices out of it?

As soon as they're cut down, they are replanted. Are they ever really gone?
