I once worked on a rebranding project.....

we had a focus group and learned a LOT....

We determined that the company's relationship to its customers had to really improve, especially the attitude of the customer service people, and that if that didn't improve, all the design changes in the world would not help, they'd look fake..

imagine you are a disgruntled Comcast customer, watching them changing their look/logo/branding.....

What's the real reason for the rebranding? Is it a merger? a new direction? Avoiding some old baggage? the first 2 may work....

Its a member based organization, so we have good info already on membership opinions. Its a full rebrand, excluding the logo. The reason is to replace tired and somewhat inaccurate imagery permeating all visual elements. Maybe a grand refresh is a better term.

The membership has expressed concerns that the group is lagging behind the times, so the new look will further emphasize the new, more concrete efforts online and in programs and initiatives to provide more forward looking solutions.

Sorry I have to be a little vague.

Nobody else? I thought lots of people would like to complain about what they hate on their end of the process and what they would rather have instead.

    • Nevermind. I forgot this really isn't much of a design forum anymore.ETM
