NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
alright there's no more reasons for me to watch this show now...
- BuddhaHat0
That was truly fucked up. I hope no other show tries to 'out-hardcore' what I just witnessed on that show... my palms were sweating for most of the episode. That's the nastiest uncensored ultra-violence I think I've ever seen on TV.
Fuck.
- drgs-2
yawn
- There's always someone.CyBrainX
- There's always drgs and yuri to bring the entire QBN down.utopian
- speaking of yuri, he's long overdue for a blog post update on his opinion of qbn, its users, and status of his membership ... definitely something coming soonmonospaced
- You feel it like a bowel movement.CyBrainX
- im kidding, havent seen it yetdrgs

I stopped watching after season 3, but facebook was hilarious last night with people seeing spoilers and losing their minds. Especially people on the west coast since it hadnt aired their yet. You cant stay off of fb for 3 hours?? Fucking knobs

- comment of the week hahaDillinger
- It kills me how people can think they can go on Facebook and expect the world to shut up about skull tomatoes.CyBrainX

Pretty brutal but no worse than what goes on all over the world on a daily basis. Man is the most vile of creatures.
That's why I get a kick out of feminist rights or animal rights or gay rights or even human rights, these rights only exist because men choose to allow them to exist.I'd wager that leaders of most countries in the world are just as brutal as negan, not so much in the first world maybe but definetly all second and third world countries.
Putin is a prime example, rules with an iron fist, has fucked shit up in Ukraine and Syria, is sabotaging the us election and sabotaging the internet and global communications, and we're sitting here like a bunch of fucking idiots worried about offensive Halloween costumes.
/end of rant lol- I think even Putin would draw the line before smashing someone's head to a pulp with a baseball bat in front of all his followers, laughing about itmonospaced
- Possibly but we're also only 75 years removed from the most brutal era in all of human history, negan is a child with a foam bat in comparison_niko
- still it's a shitty excuse for broadcasting something that realisticmonospaced
- yeah I don't disagree with you. brutal._niko
- Dude, c'mon. This is a TWD thread. take your politics bullshit to the other threads...OSFA
- The show is political, a mirror on our society, the zombies are secondary and used as a vehicle for social commentary but yeah tying negan to Putin might be..._niko
- ...over the top lol_niko
- in my opinion, they could have gotten the point across without the audio-visual going on for ... so ... long ... hit ... after ... bloody ... squishy ... hitmonospaced
- I was ok if they didn't show it and it was handled as a flashbcak or they just spoke to it._niko
- Sorry, this is a zombie show. You break heads sometimes.CyBrainX
- Putin? Are you kidding me? LolOBBTKN
- Dude was KGB, I'm sure he's done a lot worse. Remember the story of the Russian diplomats captured by Hezbollah? Then the KGB sent the_niko
- The kidnapper's leader a piece of his young sons ear? Followed shortly afterwards by the rest of the kid?_niko
- Or I suppose put in was an angel during the war in the Caucasus?_niko
- Ramanisky20
this was almost in the Irreversible (fire extinguisher scene) territory but not quite. still a double whammy!
- CygnusZero4-3
What happened? Someone smashed Glen's head in with a bat? I mean its not like weve never seen this before. Inglorious Basterds comes to mind.
- I think this was even beyond goregasmic Tarantino at is most violent.CyBrainX
- that first strike and him trying to talk was excruciating ... those long pauses on his face ... ughhhhRamanisky2
- pretty sickening really and yet they won't show a nipple._niko
- it was beyond inglorious basterds, way beyondmonospaced
- ^ETM
- IB had the "but they were Nazi's" excuse. Last night was a character that has been loved for like 7 or so years.mugwart
- DaveO1
The gore didn't really shock me for some reason, remembering folks that we've seen people being torn apart for the last few seasons. I LOVED the fakeout though with Abraham, fucking genius, and the bit with Coral's arm – i was watching with my son asleep in the next room just imagining if i was in that position. Fucking harrowing. Top job.
- i'm with you. no more violent than it's been every season so farGnash
- most of the time the hero's on TWD die from a walker attack but this human on human skull bashing was visually pretty shocking.Ramanisky2
- true, because we have empathy for the character. the actual violence is on par with other killingsGnash
- Yup and ricks crew have killed tons of people we just don't have that connection with them_niko
- and I cant recall any humans killed that didn't deserve it ... maybe the ones that they recently killed in their sleep who were part of Negans crew.Ramanisky2
- deserving it's a point of view...but yeah the ones in their sleep died unnecessarily i felt plus that guy that carol burned alive was pretty brutal_niko
- It's not the killing that is the issue. It's the brutal nature and drawn out way they showed it in the premiere. Made it as fucked up as possible.monospaced
- I can watch people get eaten by zombies all day. No big deal. Take pleasure beating a man to death caving his skull in with a bat? It's different.monospaced
- yeah agreed mono, and we had 7 seasons to develop an attachment to Glenn... Abraham's 'suck my nuts' made it a bit easier... that was great.BuddhaHat
- Sorry, 6 seasons + 1 episodeBuddhaHat
- CygnusZero4-11
Oh please I just watched it on youtube. It was a comedy scene between the eye pop out makeup and the guy that hit him saying "ohhhh mannn bruhhhh it is gross as shit!"
THAT is what people were crying about?? I have seen far more disgusting shit. Even in Black Hawk Down when that dude got ripped in half and was still alive. Did not come off like it was a comedy like this did.

- Burn him!!pango
- i like you 'cuz you're a cunt...
i hate you 'cuz you're a cunt...cruddlebub
- Ramanisky20
- I find his acting a bit corny sometimes. Like when he was put in the van. Staggering around with his hand up like he'd never seen lights before. Cringe.HAYZ1LLLA
- ya, he was trying a bit too hard to act all feralGnash
- ^ totally caught that toodopepope
- I don't mind his character, but is it me or does he act a lot with hands and arms?? It's like he's controlled by some puppeteer or something...pedroatqbn
- I like him and his character. Just from time to time he reminds me that he is an actor by haming it up.HAYZ1LLLA
- DRIFTMONKEY1
As a comic reader, I liked it.
As a show watcher, I loved it.
- SteveJobs0
Wow.
I didn't have high hopes for this. First because I was really not feeling the guy they cast for Negan, but that's bound to happen with a character that was visually portrayed so differently in the comic. Second because this is AMC and while we've seen all kinds of gore, this is just a grisly display of death that I didn't think they'd be allowed to show.
Nope, I was wrong.
Great buildup and really great fakeout doing Abraham in at a mediocre level and then surprise!: doing Glenn's death nearly frame by frame from the comic. I didn't want to watch it because I I'm not into that kind of stuff but I was too curious to see how they'd go about pulling off something that stayed with me for days after reading it in a graphic novel.
- "Buddy, are you still there?"DRIFTMONKEY
- They captured the essence of Negan really well in this scene.DRIFTMONKEY
- HAYZ1LLLA0
Brutal!
I've never really like the big baddies they pick.
I didn't rate The Governor either.- Show Governor was barely a villain. They made him too sympathetic.DRIFTMONKEY
- governor wasn't brilliant at all. the comic version was brilliant! he chopped off one of ricks hands...cruddlebub
- scarabin0
yeah so i guess i have PTSD now
- GlennTSDRamanisky2
- ...but i'm caught up with the show, so i have that going for mescarabin

Kind of surprised no one believed Jeffrey Dean Morgan could pull of Negan after playing the Comedian in The Watchmen
