Anyone use a web-based automated billing service that they would recommend? I'm looking for something that will send out an invoice for a predetermined amount to clients (via email).
I'm looking for this to handle small regular payments such as hosting, domains etc.

The single downvote(as of typing this) on every post is kinda hilarious.
I've been using motivapp.com to manage everything from proposals->contracts->invoices->...
I really love the way it works as a web app, one caveat, it's had random bugs pop up that make me swear up and down that I will switch to a new service. Then the buggy crap rights itself and I go back to loving it and not wanting to lose an app that I holds a few years worth of client data.

If you are a VISP there is software geared up for it exactly - bad news is I have totally forgotten it's name. It sits on the server and invoices for all elements added to a hosting package / renewals and one offs etc. as your clients add them via their control panels. It's basically ISP software that includes all the finance stuff and v.automated. Anyone know the name?

I certainly did including all of the above.
HARVEST / https://www.getharvest.com/ has worked best for me.
Again, try them all and make up your own mind; try not to base your judgement on design, branding or anything superficial BUT on what works best for you.

Any recommendations for a single freelancer. A few stable steady clients, a little room to grow. I'd really like to minimize the time spent on the billing/invoice side. Live time tracking I usually just use OS timestamps, notes and memory. Just need billing software to tie a job# to work files and billing files.
Also a thing im wondering about is he convenience of payment options and fees. So far from the previous posts it seems freshbooks might fit what i need best and payments are 2.9%+30c. Any tricks around all that shit beside paid checks. Is the payment processing fess worth it vs wondering if checks bounce and chasing it. Does that even happen a lot?
Any real info from non content generated blogs would be a great help
- The processing fees are standard and most services work by connecting with a PayPal or Stripe account, so the fees come from them.ETM

- 2.9% is way too much. For a $20k project, that'd be $580 just to pay by CC. Perhaps this is useful for Etsy or something like that.fyoucher1

But now I use Toggl.
