Haven't upgraded yet but in the new Mail, how do you access email folders now since there isn't a sidebar? Please don't tell me it's like iOS where you have to go back to an acct's screen or use a move-to-folder button.
I also use mBoxMail which puts my hotmail email folders into the sidebar. (I have a paid Hotmail account that I use for email storage). Wondering how that'd work without a sidebar.
- i had no idea that there was a paid hotmail account even available! old school!lvl_13
- yeh, it's like 10 GB's for $20 a year or something like thatfyoucher1
- The sidebar is easily re-instated. Otherwise there's a bar that's like your browser bookmarks bar.Nathan_Adams
- reinstalled? what are you guys talking about?? just click the damn button that says SHOWchalk
- click the show button top rightanimatedgif

So now, on a trackpad, do you say you're scrolling down to see the content below or scrolling up?

Known Issues with Adobe products on Mac OS 10.7 Lion
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/905/cps…- This is somewhat false, my CS% Flash Catalyst is working fine so far. Not sure what to make of this list.danomac

more reports...

Yeah I have been using CS 5 on a friends lion machine. Works ok.
The performance is a bit sluggish with spaces after waking from sleep on 4 gig ram machines.
- danomac0
Have any of you actually used your CS5 Suite with this update? We have 2 machines here so one's the guinea pig.. All seems to be working fine but the program launch time is really slow. Also, not sure what Adobe is talking about but our Flash Catalyst is working fine.. Anyone else?

1 day after upgrading, everything is functioning normally.
The OS definitely feels different. Is it more productive? I think so.

I like snow leapord. Don't see the point in updating. I wasn't impressed by the keynote so... if it ain't broke.
And seeing all of your comments so far. There is a lot of wtf going on.
Maybe you guys have forgotten what they did to Final Cut Pro not too long ago. What short memory(s) you have.

How to: switch through widows of the same application (Photoshop, Safari, etc...).
I changed the preference in System Preference but that do not work anymore...- command + ~ will switch from page to page within an app and command + tab app to appthem
- Mmm, not sure about this...ItalianStallion
- I am positive this works.chalk
- [cmd + ~] Works in 10.6 too. Thanks I didn't know that one.bjm

overall I'm underwhelmed. I was excited for it but it pretty much seems like snow leopard. it's funny people claim it's the windows 7... there are no where near enough drastic changes to make such a claim.
I really like all the tiny GUI tweaks. especially with safari. as I'm typing this I'm noticing safari auto correct.
fullscreen is great especially on a smaller monitor. but I think fullscreen with a web browser is kind of weird. I think it's more aesthetically pleasing to view a web page in a smaller window and than the window's "make it bigger and cover the whole screen approach" – reading some forums and certain webpages and having the text go screen width is kind of annoying.
reversed scrolling made sense after a couple of minutes. kind of anxious to see what will happen when I hook up the wacom later on.
thought it was weird that iTunes didn't receive the no scrollbar/fullscreen treatment but this morning I got an update for iTunes.
not used to mission control yet but I'm happy with the decision to simplify dashboard, expose, and spaces. I notice lately that I was getting confused with all the expose options and was defaulting to use spaces and forgetting about expose/dashboard.
other than that hopefully later on when I fire CS5 all goes well!
- Fullscreen is great on laptops, but on multi monitors - 100% useless. Launchpad is terrible.MSL

Apple didn't' disable hardware acceleration on Flash.. so that's good news:
"UPDATE: The final release of Mac OS X Lion (10.7) provides the same support for Flash hardware video acceleration as Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6). The previous “Known Issue” suggesting that video hardware acceleration was disabled in Lion was incorrect and based on tests with a pre-release version of Mac OS X Lion that related to only one particular Mac GPU configuration. We continue to work closely with Apple to provide Flash Player users with a high quality experience on Mac computers."
- So Adobe are lying/incompetent then? No surprises there.comicsans

Annoying new "feature". Webpages now have the scroll-past animation that they do on the iPhone. I understand why this works the way it does on a phone, but in a desktop browser, it's pointless. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, you might need a trackpad for this to work. It's where the window bounces up/down past the actual content area when the top/end of the page is reached.
- it's pointless but doesn't bother me.CanHasQBN
- I found this one strange tootymeframe
- it's getting ready for touchscreen probablyjon_d
- Only does it if you scroll with a multitouch device. Using a Wacom or old mouse, the old behaviour remains.Nathan_Adams
