"back to the mac" in one sense sounds very 'cloud' related to me.
on the other hand, it also suggests "hey, we've ignored our core customers for a long time... maybe we need to throw them a bone..."
either way, as a pro user of their products, they're starting to lose me. maybe i should let them move on to their toy phones and pads.

Worst OS X ever.
Macbook Air finally isn't shit though.

Pisses me off that Lion keeps getting touted as revolutionary. Freals its nothing special for anyone who uses a computer for anything remotely serious.
- care to show us where it's being touted as revolutionary?ernexbcn
- I searched here http://www.apple.com… and here http://www.apple.com…ernexbcn
- and no "revolutionary" foundernexbcn
- Media mostly - one sec I just saw a link in this thread before i posted that.oddslob

LOL at anyone thinking that this scumbag move by Apple is not part of their strategy to hurt Adobe and have more arguments with the iZombie crowd on why Flash doesn't work good on OSX.
Interestingly just when Flash Player went all GPU and was completely platform agnostic as far as performance goes because it relies on graphics hardware instead of CPU.
I wish Adobe pulls all software from OSX.. Seriously.. so people can design with Word on it.
- I am sure Apple has a Photoshop equivalent ready in their basement, just like they had Intel OSX.raf
- a premiere/final cut comparison would be a closer equivalent, not exact but close then the last comment
mightyj - Yeah.. right.. they can't make Final Cut Pro X to have proper features, they'll make a Photoshop alternative and it doesn't matter.. whatever it is it's not standard.Boz

"Launchpad. A home for your apps."
...fucking rubbish! So you click an icon in your dock (which already has your apps in) to display another screen that displays your apps. Genius!!

Yeah I have been using CS 5 on a friends lion machine. Works ok.
The performance is a bit sluggish with spaces after waking from sleep on 4 gig ram machines.

Maybe, just MAYBE this time we'll see something between the iMac and the Mac Pro. Once-upon-a-time Apple made a Macintosh computer, a simple box that could be upgraded and tinkered-with. With the separation between their laptops and the huge powerhouse desktops, not to mention the underpowered mini, it's time to bring in a mid-sized machine without a built-in screen.
Here's the best part. They can simply call it a Mac.

- no shit, but it makes sense, doesn't it!?!? Imagine an iMac with no screen, or a mini Mac Pro. Damn.monospaced

Anyone going to put in on their official 'work' machine?
I rely on CS3 and Quark 7 (for older documents I have inherited)... they are compatible, right? If I was to put it on here and couldn't access stuff I'd be officially fucked.
