you should take it and get it powder coated, it will be like $100 and be way better than spray paint(that's what youre using right?) both aesthetically and with regard to durability
- wayyyy over budget,
if I wanted to invest that much I would have bought a newer 2nd hand bike :)georgesIII

what sanding technique did you use, hand or electric?
- both, I had to clean lots of rust so I used the electric sander on those parts, hand for the restgeorgesIII

Did you clearcoat/laquer the colour?

it looks awesome indeed, but i agree with dMullins on the ornaments, isn't there a way to remove the paint again from the little bits? nice going so far anyway!

rascuache I did a pretty strange painting pattern
- 4 coats primer,
- 2 color
- 2 clear
- 3 color
- 2 clear
- 1 color,
with long drying periods between each,
I wanted a matte finish, but it ended kinda smooth.Bam, I would love to try it, but I mess up, I'm back to square one,
only thing I could do is paint silver on top of it.- Hehe wow that is strange, glad you put clear on. I didn't, and the paint chips if you so much as look at it the wrong way :(rascuache
- oh yeh and don't worry bout the lugwork, that would have been a BITCH to mask up! Looks awesome as it israscuache
- you could pinstripe the edges of the lugs if you wanted to pick them out a bitrascuache
