Anyone have a good aiff file (preferably) of a low frequency bass sound? Not like the TR-808 kind of bass drum sound? Just a soft, low frequency used to show a strong, subtle impact?
There are 3 sub-sonic-heart-pumping-face-mel... bass hi res samples coming.
check your email yo!
sub bass to show a strong subtle impact - lol
Nice links. I've been working on drum sounds in Logic lately and some of what's in there really isn't meeting my needs.
If you have any decent software from making music (from fruity loops to logic, and EVERYTHING in between). Pick whatever synth you have set it to "Sine" waveform.
adjust settings to have a high sustain volume and low release value, so they are strong and fade out quick when you stop playing them.
Adjust attack (if you want it to start with a "kick" or start w/ a subtle fade. This should give you a good start, you may repeat process with another synth chained to this one, (with some small variations) for a meatier sound.
I read on dogsonacid one time a list of frequencies for bass, and I have them on a post-it note on my wall, here goes:
Highbass: 250 Hz / up
Midbass: 100- 250 Hz
Subbass: 20 - 100 Hz
And fess up stoplying! I think you just want to listen to a sub bass tone on repeat on your ipod.
Thanks for the files! I'm trying to use them in a video edit at work and will see how they work tomorrow morning.
Love me some sub bass. My bass is tuned to a low A = 27.5 hz. Sometimes the G = 24.5 hz. Run it through the 700W head... my house shakes. Sweeet.
body shaking bass.
