    If you have any decent software from making music (from fruity loops to logic, and EVERYTHING in between). Pick whatever synth you have set it to "Sine" waveform.
    adjust settings to have a high sustain volume and low release value, so they are strong and fade out quick when you stop playing them.

    Adjust attack (if you want it to start with a "kick" or start w/ a subtle fade. This should give you a good start, you may repeat process with another synth chained to this one, (with some small variations) for a meatier sound.

    I read on dogsonacid one time a list of frequencies for bass, and I have them on a post-it note on my wall, here goes:

    Highbass: 250 Hz / up
    Midbass: 100- 250 Hz
    Subbass: 20 - 100 Hz
