Ooh, thanks for the reminder - I saw some blog post photos of the invites for the announcement recently.
I rather like them. Pebble-like one especially seems like an interesting idea. Wonder how the OS feels...
- you're dead to me.moniker
- now, cut your hair.moniker
- NO MAN LEFT BEHIND.detritus
- try pebble skimming - i bet the phone would be great at that.The_archer

Can't recall where it was, but there was a visual demo of the upcoming Microsoft OS. Appeared to be heavily typographic in its nature - looked really good.
I'm curious to see whether they've learned much from Apple's success - the Jobsian Cult needs a good competitor, and I think MS deserves another turn around the stall.

That first pic...
why must they, or anyone, insist on shaping small devices to whatever first unrefined desperate emergency idea that popped into their minds.I'd find a pic of someone facepalming but frankly I'm just too disgusted to do anything tonight.
...os/interface looks fun in the picture though.
- that first phone screams "omg cute!" for teenage girlsernexbcn
- !It tots (totally) fits in the same case as my birth control! lol..." - 16 year old girl...ideaist
- google penck. Wasn't that big a hit with the screaming teenage girls. What I'm saying is it looks like they could have refined it a bit more. Eh.Peter

It looks small which is niice. I wish the iPhone was just a tad bit smaller so it looked like I only had one bulge in my pants..

It's actually a nice phone. But ofcourse we're not the target market. You should look at the video, the ideas behind the Loop, Kin Spot and Kin Studio are good. MS has been pretty good in designing UI recently, must be because of the E&D Division.

- I thought the second one was student work or just a demo.i_monk
- wow, you don't understand what they're doing at all.zarkonite
- one is an MS phone, the other is a phone platform for 3rd parties. There is no 3rd OS.zarkonite
- the 1st is windows mobile 6.5 with a revamped front, 2nd windows mo series 7PIZZA
- WM7 is a completely new OS with no multitasking etc.

yeah, I find it very idiotic to fragment their devices so much, why release these phones now when they have a more promising OS coming later this year?
I don't see teenage kids wanting these new things, perhaps I'm wrong, but more than likely those kids wants iPhones

I'm not Likin it so far.

that's gonna sell more than sidekicks. I don't understand why people want sidekicks but they're out there en masse.

I like the little one (Kin one) a lot. I wouldn't buy it, but if I were in Highschool and did a lot of facebook, photos, music, it'd be pretty cool.
