A Complete Unknown
Terrific. I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets a load of Oscar’s. Chalamet, Barbaro and Norton are incredible. Music is awesome. Besides a few chronological and geographical bits of artistic licence it was impeccable. If you liked Mangold’s Walk the line you won’t be disappointed. Would highly recommend.
- magnolds .. wolverine movie wasnt bad either...neverscared

- Brutalist will get all the oscarsgrafician
- We’ll see, I’m seeing The Brutalist on Friday. I hear a rumour that Timmy is gonna duet with Dylan on SNL this week. It may give him the edge over Brody.Morning_star
- < Not winning
https://goldenglobes…grafician - brody is gonna fuck a goat... that will secure him the oscars.neverscared
- Saw this last Friday. Felt genuinely authentic and my GF was crying her eyes out at his wandering soul/love interest depictions. Did Dylan like it?Ianbolton
- I think he did.Morning_star

went in without knowing anything about it, pretty damn good thriller by M. Night, probably one of his best IMO
- Thanks. Will watch. Will look out for twist, and likely miss.Nairn

- Waiting for a remake of The Happening********
- This was ok. A lot of his work has an aw shucks bubblegum vibe that seems hollow to me. Sixth sense and Signs were his best.epigraph
- ^left out Village which was legit and unbreakable too. The twist ending schtick is often a crutch for bad writing in shamylan filmsepigraph

- James Gandolfini is incredible in this. Best he’s ever been.********
- Besides the tremendous acting, they had in the background the 2008 financial crisis as a theme, re-listening to some of the stuff said in those clips...grafician
- Yeah as an allegory it doesn’t really jive for me but still a cool angle for a film.********
- ...oh man, the world seemed so so naive back then
Writing is top in this one, acting on par, pretty much solid filmgrafician - I wish I could go back and watch it again for the first time. Scoot Mcnairy and Ben Mendelssohn are also crazy good in this********
- and the final monologue *chef kiss*grafician
- It was my second screening I guess
Seen Wolfs before it, then looked for more Pitt movies and remembered this one, was not disappointed ofcgrafician - I don’t love the final monologue. Didn’t do it for me********
- James Gandolfini is incredible in this. Best he’s ever been.

- no idea this existed, can't believe it's a 10 year old movie, only thing that gave it away were the old social icons at the end._niko
- also I can't believe that I have no appetite for gangster movies any more, everything just seems like a watered down version of Goodfellas. signs you're getting_niko
- its beautiful shot though... and the sound is pretty kool too...neverscared
