MX 25 is what I've been using. Not as good as an old Logitech mobile mouse I used for years (it was small, but super ergonomic).
The MX 25 is easy enough to switch between computers and ergonomic, if a tad big.
I'd give it a solid B+ and haven't found anything better.
The M705 is nice if you don't want to spend $100. Smaller, but not quite as ergonomic.
- I have that second one. I don't like mice with too many buttons. I never use side buttons and don't want to click them accidentally.CyBrainX
- I had 2 of the first one, they were very nice when they worked, i forgot how they crapped out but they did, after the 2nd "fool me twice"GuyFawkes
- Since I posted this, I have the 1st 1 from my job. It's pretty good. My only complaint about the second one is that the scroll wheel doesn't work as a button.CyBrainX

in the market for a mouse
my 15 year-old-mouse is crapping out - it's a Logitech LX3
I've bought a few different ones recently thinking they'd be the next one and now the kids are using them because they just don't feel right to me and I keep going back to the one that's starting not to work
all mice at Staples are plastic, lightweight, junk
magic mouse doesn't feel right to me, never has
and suggestions? (other than buying a new 15-year-old mouse off of ebay)

Good for work too!ok_not_ok - I like the logitechs too, but I need the larger MX model. The little ones feel like they're for children.monospaced
- Razer here for 15 or so years.Nairn
- 15 years is impressive. That mouse is laughing at a graveyard of old computer corpses.CyBrainX
- ok_not_ok - thanks for the suggestion of the G203, same issue: wayyyyy too light, feels like a toy in my big hairy mittstimeless

Is an awesome mouse.

I switched the Mac OSX settings so that my mouse left / right buttons are now opposite - took a day to get used to, now saving my index finger from joint pain.
Also set right apple / alt keys to left/right click. Surprisingly easier to 'click' when it's a key press.
- Perhaps should post this in signs you're getting old.shapesalad
- I taught myself to use the mouse with my left hand so that I could use it with my Wacom pen in my right.nb

A friend bought this mini 'egg' like mouse for me over a decade ago.
https://www.elecom.co.jp/global/…
Came across it a few months ago and start using it... wow, love it. It's like 6cm x 4cm x 3.5cm - tiny, but great.
Who'd have thought, small mini egg like mouse is super comfy.

- looks like every time you reach for the mouse it will collapse. the gif doesn't sell it very well.uan

My Razer Deathadder just died*. RIP Deathadder.
So, I bought another one, to be delivered tomorrow.
La souris est morte, vive la souris!
.
* to be fair, I killed in it in a rage. it's been mis-double-clicking for a while now, which finally made me spack out and hit it, killing the scrollwheel after 10 too many times messing up my path creation in Illy. Turns out I use the scrollwheel A LOT. Ho hum. It's not been a good day.. .

This is a good wee tool to edit the LED settings for a range of peripherals, including those from Razer, that weighs only 11mb and doesn't need installing.
Not A HALF FUCKING GIGABYTE download to install, like Razer's software, wtf.
- haha, yeah synapse or whatever its called. i have it on my pc just to turn that shit off and adjust my webcam (raser kiyo) because they discontinued it for mackingsteven
- i just bought a really expensive logitech mouse just because it doesn't have lights, this shit has gone too far.kingsteven
- I memba realising I could just set the speed/dpi and light things, then uninstall the fucking bloatware and let Windows do its thing. But that was...Nairn
- ...more than a decade ago and wasn't then, I'm sure, a half fucking Gb. And that's just the beginning! Never mind all the add-ons other programs. Obscene.Nairn
- Anyway, I now have the green LEDs set so low that the details just look like really good quality UV/glow in the dark paint. Just ever so slightly unreal a lightNairn
- hah, totally. i had a good clean out of the bloatware recently. still discontinuing the mac software for the webcam has pissed me off. it also seems like theirkingsteven
- products (other than a couple of mice) have a short shelf life. i bought a ton of new razer gear for work folks over lockdown and it's all discontinuedkingsteven

- i have a MX and not a big fan. tbh i love the magic mouse but nothing like it on the PC, using an ancient wired microsoft mouse atm. Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHTkingsteven
- coming on Tuesday, will see how that goes.kingsteven
- if I remember right, MS started doing this and some other mice after tying in with Razer - I'm sure I bought a Razer much like this years ago.Nairn
- Whatever, I spent years on Microsoft mice, which I much preferred to Logitech (I have an old MX1000 collecting dust somewhere - it's a good mouse, but.. meh).Nairn
- Give the Precision a go (not cheap, $100, but you can find good sales). It's really night/day compared to the MX and the best mouse I've used, by far.formed
- Logitc's mobile mouse they made years ago is a second - nice and small, but big enough. They don't make it anymore, though.formed
- correction: it's a logi i'm using atm. main reason for ditching the mx was it wont fit in the keyboard drawer in my new desk https://imgur.com/Zz…kingsteven
- i do seem to go through a lot of mice, i had a logi gaming mouse before the mx too but the LEDs would buzz through my guitar pickups (usually less than a footkingsteven
- away from my pickups) so i'm really hoping no lights/ low profile combo works outkingsteven

Mouse? Mouse pad.. Mouth... Mouthpad?
