Meh, it's not like it's another design site, maybe the person who put it together doesn't know enough to know that he shouldn't rip it. Certainly didn't take any measures to try and hide it.
Take the high road, contact them and let them know that they need to compensate you for use of your design or change the site.
If they ignore you or say no way, link your site to a new style sheet and fuck with the one they're linked to, like a tiled background image that has the words "don't buy this house, it has rats and mold".- HA! fuck me, i viewed teh source from the same page twice. nevermind.locustsloth
- ok, never mind the note. i'm going back to bedlocustsloth

this is from the country-house css:
Theme Name: Oyster Design Theme v1
Author: Danny Tonkin
Author URI: http://www.oysterdesign.co.uk

perhaps it is a wp template, but they appear to have pulled the google site verification and rss feed as well.
From the "rip-off site"

Have you tried contacting them?

Email them and give them 5 days to respond to your email before you take further/legal action... bluff it and see what they do.

ANY TIPS FOR FLAMING THIS GUY.
Oh, get real - it's some chump that's selling a house, who's borrowed some code - as we all do - but hasn't the nous to hide his tracks.
This doesn't qualify as minor drama, quieten down.
- Dickcentro
- Aye, I'm the dick here - flame good, you internet warrior hero you.detritus
- Settle down detritus lolFunkmonk
- detritus is right, this is nothing. if it was another design studio you would get more sympathy. i mean the guy is tabbing his lists with spaces and you're threatened?kingsteven

- Everythingbutnothing0
As Detritus says Its probably a bit harsh to go mental of the back of this. Probably just someone with 1 No Knowledge of coding and 2 Just a guy selling a house
LOL

the money/time involved in pursuing this - ask yourself is it really worth it ?
- centro0
Thanks for all the advice. I have read all your comments. Some were very useful and some where total shite.
- noneck0
You've got good grounds to go after them, and you should defend your work. I would start with a congenial email, basically calling them on the theft, see if you can work it out.
If that doesn't work, then you've got a bit of an issue, as it doesn't appear as though the house is for sale through a listing agent, where you could move up the company. You may have to get a bit more creative: get the site some additional bad publicity on rip-off blogs.
The "good" news is that once the house is sold, the site is likely to come down.

I think it is worth pursuing because it involves your livelihood. However, it's also worth pursuing the matter in a professional way.
1 -> Find out whether this person knows that the site is based on your code.
2 -> Tell him/her that you feel that using your code without permission is wrong, because this is how you make your living.
3 -> Ask whether they understand your concern.
4 -> Reassure them that you don't want this to become a big deal.
5 -> Give him/her some options: e.g. they could replace the code or perhaps suggest a payment of a fee.

Contact them and see where it goes... btw, don't take comments here too seriously, most of us are having shitty days too and this might be a good outlet instead of bitch slapping account executives...

- Dont worry – I know what its like here!centro

design aside, I like the house...
